- CD00A 6MT Transmission

- OEM 6MT Driveshaft

- OEM Pressure Plate Bolts & Washers

- OEM Flywheel Bolts

- Chromoly Updated Clutch Pivot Ball w/Iron Fork

- Rear Main Seal/Retainer

- OEM Driveshaft Bolts

- 6MT Shifter Bezel

- OEM Shift ****

- OEM 6MT Shifter
Interesting. Not familiar with the swap on a 33 so wondering if the pedal box is already set up for the third pedal and the firewall already drilled for the master?

I've helped a few people way back in my Datsun shop days convert AT ==> MT on S30s and everything is all ready to accept all of the hardware from the console/tunnel to the firewall and pedal box. Couldn't be much simpler... pretty much bolt on.

This would be a nice thing to know for anyone shopping for 33s because AT models - at least those I've seen around - are almost always in better condition.

I have everything you mentioned except the shifter and driveshaft, so I would be interested in those. I planned on buying a new oem shifter from CZP for $180, and the driveshaft I could pick up for $120. If you go lower than those numbers I'd be interested, but I understand if you'd wanna keep that stuff for you.

(on topic) Uhhh yeah, I plan on carbon fiber wrapping mine..

It is not. You have to make the drill passes yourself.. It's not too bad. But yeah, the good old days of plug-and-play AT to MT swaps. Not anymore.. Still fun though.

...And are you suggesting I make a DIY?

I made a shift boot retainer. I even embossed the z logo on it.

It'd be interesting for people to see/know the relative difficulty of it.

Can you see I'm trolling for some new original material here rather than the usual re-runs looking for spoons.

Oil change, some additional inspection/detailing underneath and a nice mid 70 degree day top-down cruise along the foothills. Still haven't hit 20K...

Default New exhaust

Just had my new Xforce exhaust installed this week. I also had the motor dyne art pipes installed last month. The combined two together sound amazing. Is anyone else running this exhaust? I read only reviews from the Aussie 350z post and they where right. I would highly recommended. I will post pics and sound clip. I almost purchased the Bassani exhaust but I came acrossed the xforce which is half the cost.

Sounds good, one day I'll get my dream set-up for my exhaust that being the,
Tomei headers, Motordyne Art Test pipes resonated with Amuse Titan R1. I don't know about the Y-pipe, thought the Mine's Y-pipe would be lovely, but honestly, anything is good. Probably the Tomei Y-Pipe.

I think that would sound pretty good. Any theory how it would sound?

Meanwhile, I think I'm going to go clean my wheel wells with a sponge and some tire cleaner in there, make it look new.

You're going to do WHAT??

OK, Zwei, no offense or anything but I can't think of a more pointless thing to do to a car. I mean, clean it, drive out of the driveway and down to the 7-11... all that time wasted.

I don't think I've even SEEN my wheel wells since the last time I swapped wheels. And even then, don't think I paid one ounce of attention.

Kinda the same thing as "Hey man, my exhaust pipes are polished!"

"Yeah, and....????"

Blow them dry? Are you being serious?. I've never taken my wheels off just to clean them. That's something I need to start doing.

Being slightly ****, when I bought a new set of wheels for my 280z I decided to wax them inside as well as outside before I had the tires mounted.
When i took them to the shop to have the tires mounted they couldn’t get the weights to stick on. Had to take the wheels home and remove the wax with wax remover. A senior moment maybe?

Oh forhevvinsakes, I wasn't dissin' on Zwei....jeez... If someone wants to go clean their wheelwells, well hey, it's their car. I just happen to not see a point of cleaning something that doesn't just have a chance of picking up dirt from the road, it's FOR CERTAIN. It's like not wearing a new pair of shoes outside for fear of getting them dirty.

Trust me, I used to go to extremes to clean and differentiate my car from all others out there too. I just have better yielding things to do than to chase something that can't be chased.

I usually pull my wheels to clean a couple times a year, especially before shows. Clean and BlackFire Wet Diamond so the cr@p doesn't get embedded.
