would you do all over again?
[QUOTE=Paul350Z;7775722]Never buy a first year car, even the '04's still had tire issues.
I bought my second generation Xterra at the end of the year to make sure that the early reports on its redesign were good - they were.
I've had zero issues with my Z or my X.[/QUOTE
hell to the yeah! bought my 08 Xterra new but i needed the power of a 350z so i bought my 06Z a year later.

I had an '03 pre-order Redline Touring 6 spd I got in Aug. '02 and had nearly every bug the early Z's had. But I was happy with it until it got totalled in May '07 (not my fault).
I replaced it with a '07 Redline Touring 6 spd in June '07 and then realized how much they improved the Z. Besides fixing all the bugs, the '07 is a much better car, especially in the areas of power and Bose sound. I'm glad I did it over again!!!

If I were to buy another car, it would probably be a car with AWD and turbo. Before the 350Z, I had a 2005 STI until my friend totaled it. Even though the Z was fun to drive, it couldn't compete with my old STI in autocross. My next car will be either a new STI (hoping for the sedan to come back) or Evo, which will be my weekend/autocross car.
I love my '05 in a lot of ways, if I hadn't bought this Z, I would have never gotten a LS3 with my Z. I have driven S2K, 90s MR2, Integra GSR and C5 Z06, this is by far the funnest and most appreciative car I've had. I just love looking at it and driving it without being nerve-wrecked. Most happiest is seeing my payments are finished.

Got mine in '03. Has 110k miles on it now. I got it because I love my '76 280Z and I loved the design. Looking back, should have bought the Corvette I was looking at. But, I did have fun and I do still love it. But I did have all those issues mentioned. New engine and tranny from Nissan around 50k-ish. IDk, it is 4am and I am rambling. Love/Hate relationship though.
I did do it again. I'm on my second Z and despite some of it's quirks, I still love it...though mainly because I've yet the ability to afford a better driving experience.

Yeah, I'd buy a 350Z again.
I have an early 2004 model and the only 'problems' I had were the alignment, window motors, fuel tank sensors, and the cubby hole door broke. However, compared to my last two cars (both older, used cars) this Z has been nearly perfect.
But despite the problems and like my last car, I smile every time I walk out to drive the car!

No, I would'nt do it again. I could have obtained far great modifications with the same amount of money on a WRX and/or EVO. The 6k I spent on adding a turbo to the Z could have been for much greater mods with an already F/I car. Would have been much funner to get some rally experience then the racing I've done so far. However, drifting is still in the future so my opinion may change. Meh....
yeah i would have probably bought a G35/G37 S for the back seat. it wouldn't be as fast due to weight but the Z is hard to daily drive in my opinion. The clutch is tiring but that just might be sports cars in general. Also, i really don't like the clutch rattle. Seems like every time i pull up next to another sports car at a red light, mine is the one that sounds like it's about to fall apart.
But i do love my HR and enjoy it every time i turn the key. and i love that the HR is more twin turbo friendly which i plan on doing when all the warranties are up.
every car has it's fair share of pros and cons, but in my opinion, the Z's pros outweigh the cons exponentially.

Honestly when the Z first debuted back in 02/03 Man I was so so so amazed by the fact that they revamped the Z series and loved how the car looked. So back in 03 I decided that it's final that I would save up for a Z and I will drive one. So little did I know I started a savings account every week I'd put half of my allowance away (back in 03 I was 12) and finally the day I graduated from high school (June of 09) I had saved up around 15000 dollars (through part time jobs and work around the house for my parents). And with graduation my parents decided to put 5000 dollars down as well for my down payment. So back in June of 2009 I bought a 05 350Z. LOVED IT and the fact that I saved up over the course of 6 years to get one makes me feel so accomplished. But BUT BUT due to shitty customer service and how the dealership has treated me. MAN i would love to do it all over again this time more carefully at another dealership. (yes I know I'm 18 and I probably will get flamed but at least I saved up for my car and didn't just get a brand new one from my parents.)
to this point my 03 has had every issue possible, and im still working a few kinks out here and there, but i havent thought twice about the decision i made to purchase the car.
I settled for the Z, got it brand new in 06. I haven't had any problems with my revup, but I always thought what if I didn't settle. Was looking for an FD rx7 or an nsx, but living in the woods, it doesn't help finding one. Can't beat new car reliability though.
