Glad you are ok. That's pretty scary man!
Anyway if you can possibly grad the coin holder on the center console behind the shifter (if your car is a 03-05) let me know. Been looking for one for a year already!!!!

During hydroplaning the front tires are not touching the road surface. There is no steering. Tires, wheels and steering wheel will pull left and right. The problem is exaggerated by the driver making corrections. Your brain tells you to do it. Front tires will grab at an oblique angle. Over steer will be in the opposite direction.
I'm glad to hear you are okay.
I had a similar experience with the 07 G sedan that i had. Going down the highway about 55 in a moderate rain, hydroplaned into a wire guardrail...
Here were my results:

I'm going to drive like a grandma when it rains out. I don't care how many people pass me.
And somebody said he'll drive the truck when it rains, but how is it different for a 350Z and like a F-150? Both are RWD and are front-heavy....I don't get why its different.

Thanks everyone....going out tomorrow and I'll grab some pics for you. Yeah I learned my lesson...I'm going 35 down the highway in rain...people getting pissed at you isn't worth the risk.
definitely glad you're alright and sorry that it happened. These kind of things can happen and it is unfortunate. That's why its called an Accident...nobody does it on purpose...
