help identify switches
hi, im planning on buying a 2004 350z but would like to know if anyone could tell me what may have been installed at one time to the red switches near shifter? just hoping it was not a engine stressful mod. seller does not know.
yeah i flipped them but nothing...must have been pulled out what ever it was, i was just hoping people would tell me it was def not something crazy that could void an extended warranty if i get one

charlotte, know of any trustworthy nissan service stations for tune up and tires? or a place that would add a bypass valve on a cold air intake? :edit: just realized Elizabeth City is way far from Charlotte.

it is very easy to remove the silver plastic panel that is holding the buttons and you can see where the wires lead to (personally I think its just some ricer ******** and its not hooked up to anything)

pretty much:
1) remove the decorational silver ring on the bottom of the shift plate (comes out by pulling straight up)
2) insert finger/screwdriver/wrench on the gap where the silver ring was (if using a tool like a screwdriver or a wrench, try not to put to much pressure on one spot, or it might crack, instead use 2 tools so the pressure is a little more spread apart; therefore there wont be so much stress on one spot)
3) you will notice it kinda pop out (it has clips holding it in), and there will be a very delicate white ribbon wire connected to it, be sure you dont pinch/break this wire. From there on out you can see the bottom of these switches and see if theres anything conencted/etc
