^ most quality & repair issues you refer to from this forum originate from Zs that are modified in one way or another, either heavily or lightly. stock for stock, i do believe most would agree (as it's been extensively documented as well) that the Z would be more reliable than its comparable domestic counterpart.

How is a Camaro too big? Its smaller than the Challenger!

Camaro length: 190"
Challenger length: 197"

Both are still great strides towards bringing back some old school American Muscle which I enjoy.

OP, best of luck with the new Camaro!

Have fun growing your mullet. Do you already have a couple sets of overalls, if not, grab some , they will match the new car well.

No replacement for displacement! I was going to get one but my Clk55 is equally fast and has all the lux amenties. Sorry to say I sat in the new Camaro SS-cheap interior. Also in 3+years they are going to be dime a dozen.

^^ You are correct.

Unfortunately for the Camaro, its “rebirth” happened about the same time GM when into bankruptcy, and the new Camaro is certainly a victim.

On first glance looking at it from the outside, it looks cool and aggressive. Unfortunately close inspection shows a cheap car with heavy and slow handling, a rough shifting transmission, an awful plastic interior, and more deficiencies than any potential buyer wants in this type of car. It’s just a big disappointment.

Default camaro?

...there's a twin-turbo '05 Z convertible for sale in Hopkins, Minnesota & on E-bay; that has 550 HP measured dyno'ed etc and a really 'different' paint-job..brembos, navigation, GT amenities etc...anyways...less money and a helluva car...if you ever wanna get rid of the 'vette or the Camaro soon...you could trade either for that I'll bet...otherwise enjoy the staightaways and stuff...good luck

I can say we had fun last weekend with our vette and the Z over in N.W. Arkansas. Gotta love the "pig trail" for some fun turns and hairpins. The hard part is finding it deserted enough to be able to enjoy the road versus just driving behind someone doing 15mph because they are scared they will fall off. The wife let me lead in the Z...but I have NO doubt she could have smoked my car if she had wanted to.

Both the Corvette and the Z are great cars and I'm happy to have both in the garage. I'm still unsure on the Camaro...really thought I liked it until I (finally) looked at a Challenger. If I were wanting to go resto---I'd buy the Challenger if I could get over my Chrysler-phobia (bad experience with a car and family members' experiences).

enjoy the new camaro! I sold my 03 Z06 a few years ago and regretted it, but it all worked out and now I got a 07 350Z.
