Default Wrecked the Z

I was headed to a friends house last night to hangout. Well about a mile from his house I hit a huge puddle and hydroplaned into a parked car. I was only doing like 40 to 50 at the time but it messed up the Z preety bad. The body shop thinks i snapped the front axle. The front tires wouldn't even turn on the Z when they were loading it on the flat bed. Im really sore and scraped up but other then that no injuries, I was really suprised the air bags didnt deploy. I missed hitting a fire hydrant by about 4 inches (you can see it in the second picture in the back). I broke the other guys axle also, you can see his back tire is like bent up. His car was parked straight before i hit it by the way. But anyways heres some pics.

Some crazy pics! Look how far the car traveled from the main road before coming to a stop against the SUV and shrubs. Not sure the story adds up. That drive way is a Tee intersection with the main road.

Lucky your ok. Scary ride I'm sure.

Were you doing 40-50 mph in a residential area?

You hit a parked car all right. 200 feet off the roadway!

it seems as "someone" tried to do a fail attempt at burnout imo...
you can't turn from a T section and immediately hit 40 in that area.

if he didnt start to brake until after he hydroplaned and hopped the curb on to grass, its very possible he could slide with great speed that far. I think 40-50 is understating it a little, but I don't think he was going 100+ : P

Man I feel for you. I was going down the highway two weeks ago and hydroplaned and totaled my car...I know the feeling. 40 is believable. You can hydroplane at 35MPH and depending on the road, it is very likely.

was reading and figured .. yea I can see sliding into a parked car on the side of the road .. not hard

then the pics came .. .. that other car was nowhere near the road

as for your body shop .. you might want to find another one before you get charged to replace the snapped front axle you dont have

Most of us use trucks for off-roading, but I guess things are different in 'bama. Especially for idiots who drive 40+ in a residential area when it's raining.
