I agree. You can get an 07/08 with $20k. I bought an 08 Enthusiast with 8,600 miles for $21,500 last month. I had two sellers willing to sell at that price with comparable vehicles.

I just bought an 07 base with 26k miles for just over $19k. If you want to spend 20k the 07 is definitely in your range.

Id stay away from 90's 300zx. There intake plenum is a real pain in the **** and are notorious for fuel leaks and or coolant leaks. Plus the wiring harness gets brittle and overall alot more parts to go wrong. Stay with a 07 up 350z or better yet upgrade to a 370z.

I'd stay with looking for a HR (07/08) 350z ..

a 300 would be nice if its in really good condition / low miles .. but its still "old" and going to have issues and stuff that will need fixing ..

where as a newer Z with low miles will be fine for a while before you have to start worrying about fixing stuff

ever since I got my Z it looks like prices went up a little on them .. but keep looking theres plenty around .. I was initially looking for a older 350z, base, w/ 30K miles for around 17K .. but came across a "new" (3K miles) 07 HR that was loaded for 23,500 .. so I got it instead

also if you have cash .. craigslist or private sale will find a really good deal compared to dealers .. right now people need money

I've never driven a 300ZX TT, they might be faster, but they're not nearly as cool looking or as fun to drive as a 350Z. I have an '03 Touring, and its got everything with it.....Lemans Sunset color, burnt orange interior, 18'' wheels, ect....and nobody can tell its a 6 year old car, it looks as fresh as it was new. Just get a 03 or 04 with all the options, and it'll be just the same as your '05 Touring.

Model year isn't that important compared to color, transmission, condition, interior ect.

i went and checked out an 05 roadster today with 42K miles. the guy wanted 16 for it but i can probably finish the deal at 13 to 14K. its a bit different than the regular Z, its a bit smaller inside. it looks pretty ****ing bad *** though with the top down and the trunk was SMALL!!!

can any one also give me link or something for the bugs on the 03 n 04 models? i heard something about a recall on the 03 models?

All cars have their issues. The maintenance on a 300ZX TT is a small price to pay for a car that easily makes 350+rwhp with $1000 in modifications.

Umm. How can you make this statement having never driven one before? I promise you they are fun to drive. I'd give 10:1 odds that you'd say, "I need turbos" for your 350 after driving a 300. Though I love my 350, the 300 is timeless.

Yes it was a recall having to do with the fuel line or pump, can't remember. I was at the dealer when still under warranty in my 03 for a window motor, and they brought up the fuel problem, it was like $1,000 that the dealer covered.

I love my 03, but if I were to do it all over again I'd go HR that still has some warranty on it. If you do go 03, have it checked by a pro, especially the tire feathering and transmission, make sure there is no grinding on the tranny. Get down low and feel the inside of the front tires. Also make sure the windows go up and down nice and quick and there aren't "streak" marks on the window.

But again, this 03 owner would recommend you put 20k down on a barely used HR 08 and pay cash or finance the minimal rest.

Whoa!!! 1xx as in 100 or 1,000? Either way you should've jumped on that one...
