Default Virginia the Z void.

It strikes me odd that states North, South & West have all gotten some Z's early. Yet, Virginia even with a port in Newport News with 300+ Z's hasn't had one delivered yet? (to my knowledge) I did order mine from baltimore(although I live in NoVA), which also has nothing listed anywhere around it according to the nissan site.

I mean, what gives?

I know my isn't "supposed to be delivered" until Sept. 2nd, but seeing everyone around getting their's early, makes one a little antsy.

Oh well, guess I will go back to my padded room and wait.....

I'm in the same boat - while I can't complain too much as the delivery day is sept 4th, my car has been sitting in Newpt News for about 9 days now. To make matters worse the NNMT gate cam is not working now.

My fellow Virginian:

Even though I only just ordered my Z in August, the anticipation is killing me too!

I can't wait to see the first Z in Virginia (Tysons Corner area).

I would have ordered my Z sooner, but my husband and I were discussing it. I mean, do I really want a car that only has room for 1 passanger, minimal trunk space, no storage space, etc.? Hell yeah! I can't wait to get rid of my grand prix. Definitely too much car and not enough power.

Hope to see ya on the road soon!

There are a few such as sheeny (sp) Nissan and one other in Alexandria that have a few Z's. My delaership, Cowles nissan, has jack **** showing.
At least as of 33 seconds ago when I checked it last (ha ha). If I remember all the ones I have seen are touring models, which is good for me with a PPW touring due on 5 Sep.

I haven't seen any Newpt News cars on the Nissan Site yet, only
MD port cars sent south. (Based on inventory at Norfolk/Chesapeake/Eliz. City) Actually a few NNMT cars could have gone north - I don't know about that.

NNMT gate cam is working again - if you've been driven to craziness already but aren't quite there

I'm becomming numb at this point

Kinda ironic about Mike Pallone dealership. I believe it was reported by someone here that they said DC Metro Area cars
would be delivered on 8/13.

I hope they continue to update inventory on the Nissan site over the holiday weekend. I mean, do WE take a holiday from our ever constant searching for anything resembling a Z on the road, computer screen etc?? No! We don't slack off and neither should they!!

(don't tell the teamsters or longshoremen I said that )

Hang in there y'all!!

The Newpt News Z's probably won't be leaving today, from what I've seen, unless it's in the next few hours.

Default Received my VIN today...

from my Portsmouth dealer, but he has no idea when the delivery will be. I'm somewhat confused as to when the VIN is issued, is it when the Z is loaded on the ship, or when unloaded. And, I have no idea how long the average wait is after you receive a VIN. Any ideas? Thanks

According to ZISME, the VIN is issued within a few days of the ship it's on leaving the port in Japan. It's interesting that you got yours today too. Ours are probably together on the same ship.

Default But don't say OCTOBER...

Glad you received your VIN also, but don't tell me that equates to an October delivery. I can't wait that long, especially after ordering 15 January.

Ok....the very few things I do know.

1. At least three boats with Z's have unloaded at newport news., 21st, 25th and 28th. I think the volume of Zs was 248, 30+, and 30+.

2. They HAVE started shipping the Z's from that port. Just not mine or apparently yours.

3. More VINs should show up tomorrow morning on the nissandriven site. BUT we may not get a car that "just" shows up until after the holiday maybe Tues or even Wed.

4. I know there was some additional problem that caused a delay and ZISME will have to choose to tell what that problem was.

5. The thread discussing the "carrier of wrecked Zs" is NOT true. This is from inside Nissan, if someone still believes it true post the state, county, etc.

I am gonna go wait for the holiday to be over, post later.

BlackJetta got his Z in Pittsburgh and his was delivered to the same dealer my Z was ordered from. His would have also been from Newport News. Mine had been there since Wednesday.

Well, at least those east coasters who ordered the Z book will have something to fill the void until the real thing arrives.
