Default buying another z go new or go used FI

I was wondering what others would think because it is a difficult choice for me . I had previously owned a 08 hr that I planned on going FI this winter but my friend wrecked it for me so now this spring I want to buy a new z just wanted some feedback

I'd get another HR with low miles .. then FI later on (or soon if you got the $$)

not really into buying something someone else has messed with

and the HR takes less work to get more power than the older Z's

Well not my friend anymore but this is about me buying a new z. It isn't about that mistake I made it was my mistake and it was a hard lesson to learn but its over now so keep on subject . I don't need a lecture on life.

Good choice on ditching the friend. I got mine used FI and haven't regretted it. It was a shop car at the local tuner and I knew it was done right. As far as used FI from someone I did not know I probably would go HR and FI it later.

I would not ditch a friend for wrecking my car. I might ditch a friend if he handled it poorly afterwards, but it's just a car.

i would not want to buy an already fi'ed Z. who knows the abuse it took

I agree with all those that said they wouldn't buy a used FI car. Just too much porential for trouble.

why not slightly used stock car so you have money to have it FI'ed yourself?

I would do that or just get a new one.

I'm sorry I didn't specify if I did buy used there would be no way I'd buy with it already with Turbo setup. The thing I'm looking at is if I buy used I can Turbo it as soon as I get it. Buying new is a different story. When I bought my HR I got a great deal paying 24 new out the door only way I could have Turbo it so soon

hmm, i think the HR has limited aftermarket FI for it also doesn't it?

personally I would have more fun getting a little older car in good condition and building it. hence the reason i have an 03

Aftermarket FI can be a little sketchy. If you do go that route, make sure that a shop built it and all the parts used were of decent quality.

There are some badass deals for aftermarket FI now.

If I had to do it all again I would go HR all the way.Even though the market hasn't developed alot of FI kits for the HR, I would say go HR. Two holes that suck are better than one
