Ride quality question
Wondering differences in VDC in Perf/Tour/Track as compared to Base/Enthu.
How different is the ride quality/handling?
Thinking if it was worth getting higher model

ride quality may be different but it wont be because of the VDC, itll be the 17" vs 18" rims, the lower models have more sidewall, which actually is 90% of ride quality(suspension is actually to keep the tires on the ground, not to absorb bumps)
handling, your best handling will in both cases come from turning the computer aid off and driving it well. tho having the engine cut you down and the brakes correct your course in the VDC models is better than spinning out of control with it off in either models.
VDC is basicly a safety feature tho, itll do as much as possible to keep you from crashing, but that doesnt mean it will help you take a corner at maximum speed or improve your ride.

I've felt VDC kick in on tight corners before. I think I take my car to the limit *safely* for the street. Taken some corners so tight the tires started skidding a little. At this point the car is on the verge of drifting. I've felt the back end slowly start drifting out then the car corrects itself out of the blue (VDC kicked in). Turning off VDC and taking the car right to/past the limit is fine for tracking. But there are too many factors to take into consideration on public roads (ie: gravel, debris, animals, people). I say use technology. A lot of people here won't agree with me. Hell, if you think of VDC in a negative way...you may as well rip ABS out of your car too. Because in the same light, that isn't "natural" either.
Just MHO.
vdc certainly won't affect your ride quality, unless you consider powersliding the back end part of "ride quality" (in which case you can turn it off). vdc is a safety feature, and it rarely comes on.
having said that, the z suspension is pretty rough, and the ride is rather bumpy with the 18" wheels. they do make a noticeable difference.
