Angry insurance to high!!!

My insurance is too high. But i had to have the z.
If i cant get a lower policy, my z will have to be sold.

So who knows where i can get cheaper ins. for a bad driving
record. Or any other suggestions so i dont have to sell.

Currently paying $518.00/mo
car payment $681.00

HELLLLLLPPP!!!!

Holy cow, $518/month? I pay less than that for 6 months of coverage!

Not sure what else you can do besides shopping around for competitive quotes or decreasing your coverage/increasing your deductible. I suppose having your parents put you on their policy is an option, but you haven't mentioned your age, whether you live with your folks, etc.

damn.

the car aint worth that much man, thats wayyyy too much

sorry, but sell it. even shopping around, what will you get? 400 a month?

are you sure its per month? cause damn thats like 6grand a year.

you got points, and your paying for it now, if you drive that bad, it might be better that you dont have a car as powerful as the Z.

Man thats 1,200 bucks a month total on one car(we love the z but for that much a month it would be gone in a heartbeat), like Ares said get rid of it. Im scared that your insurance might be high on any decent newer car that you get, 518 a month is way,way too much for insurance.

Sorry to hear about your insurance rates. That's the reason you should ALWAYS check to see what your rates will be BEFORE you buy the car!

Good luck finding something cheaper, I doubt you'll get much lower... If you have a bad record that caused you to get those high rates, many of the "cheaper, discount, or quality" companies won't even insure you.

Default Sorry...

Your insurance rates are high for a reason, probably because of your age and where you live. Sorry, but that’s life. We all have had to deal with it. And if you want a Z you’ll have to deal with it too. The rates will come down some day.

The following will help:
1) get married
2) turn 25
3) keep a clean driving record
4) keep low annual mileage
(for my plan <7,500 miles a year)
5) have multiple cars (multi car discount)
6) location (where you live affects your rate) move

Good luck...

PS: I won't tell what I pay, it would make you cry...

often if your driving record is poor, they will kick the driver off the family plan, they force them to have their own rates.

7) Take defensive driving
8) Buy a radar detector
9) Learn how to drive

My cousin's insurance on her '03 lancer is close to $600/month. She has almost 30 points. That is just retarded. No excuse for that

try AIS. they search a list of ~20 insurance companies to find the lowest rate for you. http://www.aisinsurance.com

how come i feel like the commercial? :/

Also, if you own a home get a multi-policy if you dont already have one. You will get a discount. -g

Couldn't agree more.
You are reponsible for your own action.

You and sit there and say, this dude is hatin'.
Or you can start driving smarter....not slower, but smarter.

DAMN! I love my Z but not enough to pay those kinda prices. 2 of your payments covers my whole year! Lucky me One positive thing is your rate will drop a bit each year. But I'd lose the car. You made a mistake your not gonna be able to pay your way out of. better sooner than later.

Call Geico or Progressive, they have better rates then AIS. Well that is for my case, just shop around. My record is pretty bad and they are quoting me $960 for 6months including a SR-22. So you should be able to do way better then $3000 for 6months.

please tell me each state does the point system differently. And her state gives like 7 points for each speeding ticket or something.

Nope. She got TONS of tickets . Mostly speeding. Some running stop signs. About half of them were out of state (where her moron boyfriend lived). Initially she lost her license for 4 months. That was until Delaware's DMV got a hold of her out of state tickets. Then she lost her license for a year. The funny thing? She still drives it sometimes. oh well, I tried to help that dumb b1tch in the past. Never again
