Looks like it's in good condition. That headlight is strange. I'd find out more about that at the dealership and tell them to fix it.

Congratulations on the new car, I’m sure you’ll have tons of fun with it. As a fellow owner of a black car, I concur that black can be a challenging color to keep looking perfect. In addition to your arsenal of wash, wax, and clay-bar products, a bottle or two of polish and/or glaze will serve you very well. Most of the big car-paint care companies sell consumer grade wax and polish products with label information that seem to be cribbed from cheesy late night informercials. In addition to these consumer level do-all products, companies like Meguiar’s and 3M etc, also package their professional grade polishes in small sizes and sell them through the better auto parts and accessory shops.

Meguiar’s for instance, offers more than a dozen grits and grades of pro use polish. A few minutes spent perusing the package labels provides a concise, but encyclopedic knowledge of which grade of polish will serve your needs best.

I make regular use of Meguiar’s #9 Swirl Remover and finish up with the #7 Show Car Glaze. These same two bottles have served me through several cars, one rat ex husband, and some cheating-bastard boy friends. In a product comparison test, The polishes did their part of the hard work as promised, stayed close at hand, and were always up to the job. The men in my life, not so much!

As to starting off on a hill, my little corner of paradise has some hellishly steep hills. Every so often, when I’m stopped at a light on the steepest of all the hills, someone will pull up shockingly close to my back bumper. At these times I’m reminded how difficult it is to simultaneously manipulate three pedals with only two feet. A little technique my dad taught me, was to pull on the hand brake (keeping release button pushed in). This holds the car in place while you work the gas and clutch pedals at your leisure. As you feel the clutch start to bite just slowly release the hand brake and enjoy a perfect takeoff every time.

 

If you find yourself on a steep incline when you stop use your emergencery brake ( e-brake); at the stop just before you are ready to move off engage the e-brake; then when ready to move push down on clutch and gas pedals...move shifter to first....as you let off clutch start to release e-brake and give car more gas. Voila!!!!!...You have done it!!

The Z is just a base model so no leather. Who would want leather in the hot AZ summer's anyway? I guess the only thning I wish the car had was a LSD. I guess this could be installed if I really wanted it? Window tint is a must. I plan on getting 10% all around except for the windsheld. This will be my first mod. Also plan on air intake and exhaust but only when I really know the base power of the car.

 

you buy a sportscar in a stick and can't do reverse.....(shaking head).. this won't end well at all!!!!! Save that camaro you'll need it.
