I wouldnt worry about flat spots, unless the car is sitting for 2.5-3+ years.

are u gonna have time to test the new motor out to make sure it aint faulty? if not then id sell it cus by the time u come back will it still be under warranty? it would suck to come back and motor has same issue and its out of warranty
