Had that happen this last summer to the back-end which was perfect; now it's color is not original and I can see the difference.

If you have good insurance (All State plug here..) you'll get whatever it takes to satisfy you (within reason). When I wrecked my camaro a while back, the body shop painted it a second time because the first time I noticed the paint on the door didn't match a panel that they didn't paint. I had even driven it for 2 days before taking it back. There were on issues with the insurance company paying for the second paint.

I recently had my front bumper replaced under insurance. I had no issues there either, but I didn't go for the extras because it wasn't someone else's fault (hit a racoon @ ~50mph on my way home from a bar )

That **** happened to me in December. Exact same spot, exact same car (2006 Magnetic Black). I will probably never know who did it.

Come on VO. How do expect them to do that when they're dialing their cell phone, lighting a cigarette, drinking a coke and fixing their hair?

Quit whining, this gives the Z character.

Really it doesn't even look that bad, just some color sanding and repaint & you will be good as new. I can't believe you have the ***** to ask for a body kit. Guess it takes all kinds to make the insurance adjusters day.

So he's an unfortunate victim of someone else's stupidity. It was absolutely not his fault in any way, shape, or form. Take your mental malfunction and vomit your brainless inanity in another direction.

Same situation happened to me....

Lady in a parking lot went past a row where she saw a spot, put it into reverse and backed up into me. She got out of the car and said, "Well, why'd you hit me?" I couldn't believe it. Luckily, I braked before the impact and the pebbles under my car showed that I was pushed back. When the cop came, she had nothing to say... CSI FTW!!!

Sensitive, no. Offended by overwhelming stupidity and immaturity, yes. Grow up, kid.

So a few updates/responses:

1. I'm with Allstate. Filed the claim. $250 deductible will be worst case scenario. They're going to try to get reimbursement.

2. Yes, the car was keyed last year right when I got it. Not had the best luck you're right.

3. I'm pretty sure the bumper has to be replaced, there's literally a hole in it (look in the first pic). I only mentioned a kit because I figured it might be cheaper than a new OEM bumper.

4. prnstr40, you really have no idea about any of the details of the situation. I could go into detail to explain, but I'd rather not waste my time.

This makes me feel better because my biggest concern is the paint not matching.

4. +1.
When a person gets backed into, it is NOT their fault. EVER.
