For the record, I live in NJ and I am on my second Brickyard Performance, my first one was totaled after having it for less than one month, 6/13/03, it happened on my birthday, anyway. I managed to find the only other Brickyard Performance still unsold in NJ at a loss of not having the NAV. I have only seen two other brickyards on my travels to Englishtown.

I own a SS, but just thought I'd post. I have only seen 3 bricks in my area since I have owned my Z (1 mo. 4 days.) While I have seen maybe 10 silvers, not counting seeing the same ones over again. (SS and CS mixed) And only a few blacks too though, probably the same as brickyards. Only 2 DB's. Only 1 LS.

EDIT : Forgot to say, this is in the San Jose Bay Area.

I get nothing but compliments on my Brickyard. "That is the best color I have seen." "Is that a custom color?" "That is beautiful!" Things like that. I hadn't seen it until I went to a dealership last October that had 2 Z's that had not been taken from a pre-order. One was chrome silver (the color I went there for) and the other was brickyard.....well, I ended up with the brickyard for the simple fact that I knew it would not be a trendy color that I saw every other Z in.

There is one problem though....I NEED HELP! Back in May, I was hit by a stray hubcap on the freeway....of course with me going about 70, and it traveling at about 80+, it did some damage. It hit my front bumper, went under my tire, came up and broke my mud flap, then proceeded down my driver side door, shaving the paint off in a nice fancy pattern. Anyway, after having the bumper, front fender, driver door, and now the hood re-painted 3 times (going on the 4th), I have not been able to get a color match. I have been dealing directly with the PPG rep here in So. California (Orange County). He has gotten around 7 different color codes from different ports of entry as well as one from Britain. If there is anyone reading this that has had their Brick painted and is happy with their match please let me know. We have tried a Nissan factory paint pack, and 2 others so far on the car, and nothing. I have viewed 4 other spray outs and they don't match. We have one right now that looks....dare I say decent, so we are going to paint one part to see how it looks on the car. I am very bummed out about this. I have a color that is now discontinued, but only half the car is in that color!!! I just want my paint back!!! PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. My personal email address is calberda@***.net if you have any off line comments. Thanks!

Take care brick owners!

I've had my body kit painted with the PPG system and it matches fine.

Hey Duck, what ever happened with your body kit paint job. I remember we talked a lot about it before you had it done. The pics you posted look great. How did they do it? PPG?

Hey Duck & Bonz,
I finally got my Ings + 1 half spoiler and I am ready to get it painted and installed on the brick. The shop that people have referred me to, seemed good, but I asked what paints they used and they said Sherwin Williams Automotive system. Did not know they even did auto paints before this. Any thoughts, or advice to get the color and metal flake matched perfectly?

One of the guys on ??? forum did an estimate of the number of the various colors. I think Bricks came in at around 2000 which sounds about right to me.

dam that sux. How many miles on yours when that happenned? Probably very few... it ALWAYS happens. Nothing for years after your car isnt new, but right when you get it. BAM! Some never-before-seen thing focks up your 'new' feeling. Happened to my z. Probably first month, less than 1k miles....piece of road junk smacked passenger headlight scratching cover, and then bouncing off roof of driver side. both things are fixed, but for a month I was so cautious....

After ripping my z to the ground for all my mods since, i could care less. all the work is fairly easy. Especially body work. Electrical kinda sux...

Default No Bricks made my choice easy

When I first started looking at the 350Z I was drawn to the Brickyard color. It gives the Z a luxury/classy look like no other color. But it's a sports car, it should be Red. I was having trouble making a decision. Then it was '04 and no more Bricks. I love my Redline but I am jealous of those who got that rich Maroon Z. Any truth that there will be a 4th shade of Silver in '05.

I've heard more than a few people make the comment "look at that gray Z" when referring to the Silverstone. So maybe it's one silver and one gray.
