I think it was the 3rd or 4th day of owning the car when this delivery truck backed up into my Z. This was back in 2005, all I remember was scrambling to put the car in reverse (but that was not easy for me to do at the time). It was like slow motion, this truck was backing up slowly, and I couldn't find reverse. When I decided to just honk at him it was too late. I had to get a new bumper, headlight, and hood repainted. I'm not going to get into it, but that was the first sign that car was bad luck...regardless of all the bad luck that car brought, I still loved it.

Default Box Turtle Accident

Driving home from the dealer with my brand new z in pouring down rain. The car in front of me touches his breaks and I come up behind him with maybe 20 feet between us. Then I notice that he's straddled - without disturbing - a very large box turtle that was in the middle of the road. With no time think and with the logic that his car had sufficient clearance to travel over the turtle without touching it with the bottom of his car, I decide not to hit the breaks. You guessed it. The Z probably sits a inch lower than the car in front of me and I hear this loud bumping noise. Dead turtle but no damage to car that I could tell

Driving to Home Depot. I usually park far away from other cars like any Z owner should. Suddenly a thunderstorm from hell is on top of me. So, I decide to try and wait it out. Wind is blowing fierce by this time. I notice a shopping cart and was thinking to myself, "if this mother f**** rolls this way." Mind you, my car is off. So I'm sitting there and all of a sudden that little b**** is headed straight for my car! I have never turned my car on so quick in my life. I jetted out of there and sure enough the cart would have rammed my driver side door. Little bastard. So I go to the gas station and back into a pole.

That made me laugh . Why not get out of the car and stop the shopping kart?

LOL, Definitely owned. That sucks man. There are a lot of people and crappy luck with their new cars. I've had mine for 8 days now and so far so good. Knock on Wood lol.

The day mine was dropped off to me (bought it used off a member) he drove it to me (about 40 minutes form his house) and then I drove him back to his place in my truck so I could pick up the aftermarket wheels, he also got a ride home out of it.

So I got back home, and jumped in the car to take it for spin, backed outta my driveway and I was off, 50ft down the road the car died. Somebody forgot to mention there was ZERO gas in the car, me too excitedly didn't bother to look. Luckily I was only down the street, went and got some gas and got her to a gas station.

Not to be a One - Upper on Weird Shiz that happens on the highway... but here goes...

This was some time ago but I was going about 55 mph and driving up the bridge between Groton and New London CT when the mini van in front of me lost its entire rear axle - wheels and all. You know the kind. Front wheel drive, the rear axle looks like a piece of square stock between two wheels - kinda making it look like a barbell.

This whole thing took less than about 5 seconds but it seemed like slo-motion when it came out from under the back of the van and began to bounce.. 1st on one wheel and then on the other, till a moment later it was up on its end. It looked like a giant 'I' coming at me on an unpredictable bounce.

At the last second - I shut my eyes - thinking it was coming through the windshield. Purely an instinctual reaction there wasn't time for fear... no time to react.. You simply KNEW this was going to get ugly - and quick!

Anyway - Nothing happened...

I opened my eyes and shot a glance to the rear view realizing this thing must have had gone horizontal in mid air as it passed directly over my car - cause just then it landed on the hood of the car behind me and went through their wind shield... One can only say that sometimes you are going Exactly the right speed for the conditions....

Something similar to that happened to me once. I didn't have the Z at the time but it wasnt a rear axle. It was an old chevy impala... It was on the opposite side of the highway and he lost control and went over the median over my car and into the car behind me. The driver of the car that got hit died.

Back in the day when I was in the Army I had picked up a beautiful, mint used, 300zx Twin Turbo. Drove it off the lot and went to meet a few buddies of mine for dinner. Come out an hour later or so and the entire front drivers side quarter panel was destroyed by a hit and run. Had the car maybe 6 or 7 minutes I guess. That sucked.

I hit a bi!tch who had just signed the papers and was driving her brand new Camaro off the dealer lot. Apparently, she did not know how to drive a stick, and she drove her new car right out of the dealer lot into moving traffic ....

I was driving a lifted 1978 Ford 4X4 with a massive steel bumper. When I hit her, it spun her like a top and fuked up her car bad. Plastic parts went flying in all directions.

A cop and many people saw everything.

It slightly bent my bumper.....I'm sure it totaled her new car.

Whenever my car does sit outside, it's tough for me to get to sleep. It sleeps outside maybe 10 days out of the year, tops...and that's only if I'm doing something in the garage that needs the space.

Why anyone without a garage would try to own a nice car is beyond me.

Its not a brand new car, but after i picked up my Z up north from calislvr, Me and my sis start to drive back down to Los angeles, I really had to use the restroom so pull off at in and out, And in this entire huge parking lot, there is no parking. So i park it in red and tell my sis to move it if anyone tells you too.
Now tell me why in the world would a spot open up, as am walking to the car, she gets in and parks it and runs into the curb !!! AS im watching the WHOLE thing!! Needless to say she was very apologetic, but if i would have waited 20 seconds in the in and out, i wouldnt have to seen my new baby get ran into a wall.

And then Last week, the driver side window wont work!!!! even though it was just replaced!!
All this whiten 3 weeks of having her...
