Default Can you slay the Dragon?

Just wondering if anyone here was going to make the Dragon run in their new Z's. It's in the Eastern Tennessee, Western North Carolina area and it looks pretty wicked! I don't know if I have the cojones.

The Tail of Dragon is absolutely awesome! I have had the wonderful priveledge of slaying the Dragon 6 times now.

I coordinate an annual event called the DragonBall Run for S2000 owners. This year, we are having the DragonBall Run on September 13th and 14th. Less than 2 weeks away!!!

We have (at this time) 65+ S2000's and 100 enthusiasts coming out for the weekend event.

For more information, feel free to contact me directly at ralvarez2@***.net or check out this link:

11 miles and 318 curves. . .it's 8 hours away from where I live but worth every minute and every mile I put on my baby to get there.

I have no idea how the 350Z would handle but the S2000 is like a DREAM!!! If you live close enough or have the time, I highly recommend the drive. It will be one that you'll never forget!

I am planning on driving up once I have a free weekend and the weather breaks. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Where in NC do you live, airgate?

I think one thing I would worry about on the Dragon is some crazy crotch rocket idiot doing 140 around a curve and attaching himself as my new hood ornament. Is that something that's a legitimate issue, or just hype?

That looks amazing! I'm thinking about driving down to Atlanta to see my parents in the next few weeks, so maybe I'll take a little side trip.

I believe you are correct...I saw a video of a silver S2000 flying off the road into the trees (taken from the car behind it)...scary as hell to see.

Maybe one weekend in OCT we can get all the TN, NC, SC, GA 350Z owners together.

Of course after we all have our cars and have made it past break-in.

I've never heard of the dragon's tail, but I'm definately game for a scenic drive.

It would be a great meet and greet for all club members in the area.

Cool, my Z will be at Road Atlanta for Petit LeMans too. Hopefully they'll have a lot set up for us

I plan on slaying the dragon once my Z is broken in and I get a little more used to her handling.

Nah, that was out in California.

Anyway, even if yall're not interested in hammering the car around the curves, it's worth a trip out there. It's absolutely beautiful scenery.

We did lose one S2000 during last year's event but it was truly an accident and involved only the S2000. The driver faired well and walked away. The S2000 was repaired and is back on the road.

No. . .no, that was NOT on the Dragon. If memory serves me right, it was somewhere in California.

Unfortunatley, ever driver has to know 2 things:

What they are capable of and what their car is capable of!

Default OMG!!!!

I went to school at Western Carolina U, so I have had some experience driving in the mountains, but I have never heard of the Dragon before. I will DEFINITELY have to give it a run. Maybe next fall. Is there a Z group that goes?

well, i think it's a legitimate issue. Look at this pic. Hate to see this happen to a Z.

Judging by the map, that doesn't exactly look like a road 18-wheelers should be taking!
