Default Trade my 350z for a sport sedan ?

I have been throwing around the idea of trading in on a sports sedan. Mostly to get some more room, since this is my primary driving car. There doesn't seem to be too many cars out there that are under $30k that appeal to me though... thoughts??

G35 sedan? Its around 30K. Good power like the Z. Decent handleing. I have on in addition to my Z and it was what probably made me buy the Z.

How about STI or EVO? You can call them sports sedans, or sedans on steroid.

the STI and EVO are just compact cars on steroids, yes.

i like the G35. m3 sedans are nice, but a bit pricey.

i still think that this is a market none of the car companies have really nailed.

The WRX was a nice try, it has all the performance you could want--- but it looks like crap IMO and the interior is cheezy.

Get a used BMW 540i, great car and just get broke-in at 100,000 miles. For $30K you should be able to find a 99 with 50-60K miles. Why not buy and drive a beast it you need the room.

IS stands for Its Slow (handles great though, good build quality)

I would check out the 2004 TL or 2004 Max.

Way to be ignorant with a comment that car companies have neglected the sport sedan market.

IS300
BMW 330i
G35 Sedan
Altimate 3.5SE
Acura TSX/TL

If you want the performance of a Z and 4 doors, then you will be spending big $$$ to buy a nice BMW or Mercedes.

Buy used...
With $30,000 on hand, you can get yourself a loaded G35 (year old), or loaded 528 (couple years old, swap the badge with 540 and no one will know, j/k), or loaded A6 or even S4 (if you gonna drive in snow, 4-wheel drive is always nice).

But NO, you don't want to do that. Because then you won't have a Z, thus no longer as cool as us!

I am confused how people buy a car like a Z and then realize they need more room. I could see if your wife just got pregnant but you did know you were buying a 2 seater car right?

Used 330Ci is fun and comfortable. TL is way too slow. 540i was a good suggestion also but I would opt for the used 740IL. Also I would look into these:
Audi A6 2.7T
Mercedes CL320
E36 M3

But say goodbye to the stares and say hello to looking like every 2nd car on the road.

I would go for a used bmw, my bmw had 100,000 miles on it and never had one problem. I ran it hard too. Since they dont' make a 4 door e46 m3 the e36 m3 would be the one to get. I would go with a 540 with speed....very nice.

According to the October 2003 issue of Car and Driver, there Nissan has already introduced a 4-door Z!! (Note the red subheading of the article).
