My poor Z got 'run over' :( *pics*
It sucks but at least she stopped most people won't even do that....unless you saw her. Anyway like you said lose the rock chips and I would have the body shop mould the lip in
I would love someone to do that to my car again, bye bye paint chips. Make sure you get the clear bra, after 2 years you can peel it off and it will be a brand new bumper all over again!

The damage could have been a lot worse. She could have run over your bumper, fender, headlights and hood. Buddy of mine experienced this, only in a different car. But now you at least get a new bumper, looks like your gonna need to repaint your fender too.
Honestly though, people should have a seperate license to operate a truck. Much more room for error than a car.

I think even if she was in a big car she would have hit my Z. What I don't understand is when you insist on backing into a spot (which I always do simply for the fact that its much easier to pull out WITHOUT hitting somebody) then you would think that you would be observant enough to notice the car next to you as you get into the truck (my car was there even before she arrived). Also, when you leave a parking spot, wouldn't you pull forward first then start to turn? I am quite sure that this is the last mistake of this nature that she will ever make.
I'm in for the part oout!!!!!!! How much for Volks shipped to 77590???
But you got off pretty easy on that. When I was up at Ft Hood some new guy went out and bought a 06~ F250 that was all jacked up with his bonus. Backed it into a spot next to a corvette and when he tried to pull out he did the same thing....just a lot worse. The rear tire went over the drivers door and through the center of the hood.

Trucks and SUVs are such a plague. There are a few people that actually know how to properly drive them, but most people that drive big trucks and SUVs are driving them for the very fact that it makes them feel "safer" when they have accidents like they frequently do. I have always owned sports cars, and I can't count how many times I've had to react quickly to avoid having an inattentive truck/SUV driver merge on top of my car or back into my car in a parking lot.
I hope some type of report was filed or you really trust this person, because they could easily end up giving you the run-around on paying for repairs. Good luck getting everything fixed, I hope it turns out even better than it started!

A few days after the 'accident' she came back to my shop and I installed her system for her as well as some HIDs and LED lighting (kind of like the Audi LED running lights). She's pretty happy with the install and to show her appreciation she baked me some wicked chocolate chip cookies. LOL....
