well its like this
i think the orange accents in the interior looks bad.
especially in like the blue and red
but in your silverstone(i actually think the burnt orange leather looks good with silverstone) and in maybe in black it works
i love my frost leather i just wish could they would have made the dash and doors black like in yours instead of frost throughout

Sadly enough, I have never even seen the frost leather in person. I should put that on my to do list. Only leather i have seen is the burnt orange, which I like. But again, I do love my carbon cloth.
i find the cloth in my 04 to be very rough and somewhat uncomfortable. anywhere it touches skin, it will leave a nice impression. the roughness does hold you pretty well in those tight turns, though.
here in southern california you can get second degree burns from sitting on leather that's been in the sun too long, so cloth seemed like a good idea.

All you guys who talk about swapping out for upgraded seats...that's not the friggin' issue!! The issue is - the seats shouldn't be wearing out after 6 months. Why don't you focus on the issue of this post...the unbelievably cheap materials that we were sold in a $30,000 car!!!!

Sorry if I seem touchy, but it seems like this site is permeated with people who choose to be blindly loyal to Nissan just because of the past reputation of the Z. If more of us got on Nissan's asses and didn't allow for the conditions under which these vehicles are being shipped to the US, maybe they'd be more responsive in dealing with the numerous problems!
That I would agree with you on. Only I am not loyal to Nissan really. This is my first Nissan car, and I have not had any problems other then pulling to the right slightly, which I am making them fix. (not just an alignment)

Unfortunately Nissan did not put much research into the durability of the cloth they are using. I own a company that does interior repairs for more than 300 car dealers in N.J. I ordered a roadster(enthusiast) with the cloth interior. Shortly after I ordered it I worked on an X-Terra. The X-Terra I noticed has a very poor wearing cloth interior. It also stains very easily and is next to impossible to clean. Also they are not easily repairable. It dawned on me that this cloth upholstery looked very much like the cloth I saw in the 350z. As soon as I finished working on the X-Terra I hunted down a 350z that was being prepped for delivery. I checked out the interior and it was too similar to the X-Terra for me. I immediatley changed my order from the enthusiast(cloth) to the touring leather. Much better interior. Typically, though I lean towards cloth interiors. Good quality cloth is much more durable than leather. If you do get leather be sure to condition it on a regular basis with a LEATHER CONDITIONER. Your leather will last much longer and stay softer. DO NOT USE ANY SILICONE (ARMORALL) PRODUCTS on your leather. It does nothing except make your leather shiny and slippery. As a matter of fact it will shorten the life of your leather interior.

I am having both of my cloth seats replaced tomorrow due to excessive wear. The seats are crap. This is the SECOND time I am having the seats replaced and my car only has 7,000 miles on it. There is also a TSB on Nissan's web site about the cloth seats fraying.
In the TSB it does not specify if the same material is being used with the seat replacement. Does anyone know? I find it pointless to replace the seats with the same crappy material.
Velcro will destroy these seats in 3 seconds flat, so if you have velcro on your rear pockets I would not wear them while driving.
