Default Not Shopping Smart

Anyone have any stories pertaining to not shopping smart for parts for their z? I just bought a JWT clutch and flywheel combo. Total price was $921.63 from JWT direct. Later to find out that i could have gotten the same package, PLUS a new clutch line and alignment tool for only $775 shipped. I guess the one that doesn't research is the one who has to pay the price! Anyone else have any stories???

Not really with the Z, but back in 2002 I had a 240sx HB and attended the Tokyo Auto Salon. At the TEIN booth they had just released the HE coilovers and I picked up a set for about $2000. Mind you they were not even in stores yet, so I was excited to have something no one in the world had yet on their car. 1 month later I saw them for sale here in Hawaii for $1600 >_< Patience is a virtue.

Maybe you did not do so bad.

Parts are often sold on the grey market. They are authentic parts sold by an unauthorised retailer. Often the manufacture will not honor any warranty or correct problems.
