Default etc?

hey yall, im new to these forums. i dont actually own a 350z. or in general a z or nissan, i've worked on a few 300zx's but im on here cause a buddy of mine has a 07' 350z. and today he had an incident where his throttle stuck open and the rpms kept going up. do 350z 07' model run on electronic throttle? and if so. is there a way around it? how to disable it? or just run a new throttle system (cable driven) ? would love some advice on how to fix this. or if you can just fit a rb26 in it >.> if its possible

Yes, it is drive by wire. No, you can't disable it. No, there is not an easy way to put a mechanical linkage on it. Yes, you can fit an RB in it if you have a torch, a welder, and a lot of patience. Yes, the gas pedal is probably made by the same company that makes Toyotas. No, it is not a common issue worthy of a government recall.
