The purpose of my question was to ask who preferred performance over looks, or rather form over function. Apparently I touched a nerve with Lil' Eric there. As to why my car is 2" low, perhaps it's due to the bilstein coil overs......I'm not sure. If it bugs you Eric, I will certainly raise it a bit to keep you happy.

I will post pix next week. And yes Lil' Eric, there will be more than one photo. Let me know what you would like me to add to substantiate authenticity and I will gladly accommodate you.

At present my Z is in the shop. Since my original profile listing, the following has changed: Motor has been "built" and now has forged rods and pistons as well as a Giken twin plate clutch. The boost will remain at 8.5. I am not sure how it will do on the dyno. Prior to these mods, the chip was removed and the motor was retuned with the "Uprev" system. When that was done, it dynoed at 384 rwp. I'm really curious to see what it does on the next pull. Hopefully better!

There are a lot of people who mod their cars so that they are better at a given sport they participate in.

Drag racing, autocrossing, road racing, drifting, rally etc.......

When you said you were a "walker", I thought you were implying that you "do" stuff.

But you just listed a bunch of parts. While I fully respect the skills required to modify and tune a car, it sounds like you just signed the checks that payed for the parts/labor.

That's not "walking". That's shopping.

rofl "corporate executive".... nice

For an old dude, you're profile makes you look like an obnoxious 7th grader.

no offense..

It's cool to be praised, but it's not cool to say "look at me everyone, check me out!"

Oh... and I find it funny that you're going to stoop down as to "raise" your car's height to please someone else, rather than pleasing yourself.

Calling someone you have never met/seen "lil" is stupid. For all you know Eric could be 6'8" 300lbs and would whoop the **** out of you IRL.

And... why is built in quotations? Most of us on here do work to our cars ourselves... we know what built means haha.

I bet it wasn't your intention, but you're giving NY a bad rep.

performance vs. head turnin, head turnin vs. performance.... My question is, "Why choose???" Seems like someone bought some new tools and thinks they're a master mechanic.

exactly!!! why choose? It's a process. Not everybody has $25k to drop on mods for a car to do everything at once. And the only way to get any decent power out of this car is to go FI which is why I'm doing appearance first because it's cheaper and I've almost met my goals of what I want my Z to look like. Then its TT for me once I have the $10,000 to spend on it.

I digress but the point is it takes a long time for most people to even have either one so they do what they can along the way.
