Another Z.... gone

Like I said, I went from driving a 94 Eclipse with 94BHP (probably less because it had so many miles on it, bless the car's heart) to a 287hp V6 RWD. To me, it was an incredible difference. I went from not being able to accelerate on an on-ramp to being able to get up to speed using half throttle. It was a monster to me. I go from real slow and zero torque to pretty darn quick with w/ torque

If they are looking for sympathy here they have come to the wrong spot. I personally think he's an idiot. Theres my sympathy. I feel bad for anyone who has to drive in the same vicinity of him. Hopefully they don't get hurt by his stupidity and carelessness.

On a 2 lane highway (1 lane each direction) middle of the night, i come up with the bright idea to pass a **** load of cars (9-10 or so) right when i clearthe cars i go to get over and then i hit 2 big *** undulations in the road, the car must have gone airborne and then landed at a weird angle, i don't remember **** besides snapping to and I'm 2 ft in water in this marsh in bum f%ck nowhere. The embankment off of the road was a steep 6 ft, so I'm sure it flipped at least once.... such a sad day. Probably didn't help the ground had some moisture as well... i was just driving like a dumb ***. Insurance is covering all of it + i get money back for the warranty and some other small things.

If he's looking for sympathy, he can find it between **** and syphilis in the dictionary.

Glad you walked away man. Live and learn. Sad to see such a nice color, and an HR at that, go. Be happy it's such a safe car, you would have been entangled in many other vehicles and left to die. Slow down and observe road conditions as there is no where you need to travel that fast, nor do you need to jeopardize your life and the lives of those around you.
Dumb as hell, but you live and learn...
Glad you walked away from that mess.

"They are definitely a nice sports car. I'm only 23 but i perfected the art of drifting on my old 93' 240sx I had before, so i can handle this Z no prob.... this car just has tons of more power Naturally Aspirated! Buy one!"-Meize

Don't try to tailgate behind a passing car that you cannot see around.
Leave an appropriate gap, downshift ahead of time and get a head of steam going so that you are under acceleration BEFORE you pull out, hanging your bottom out there only briefly. When you pull out to start your pass, if you don't feel it is safe, USE THE BRAKES. You will be amazed how quickly you can brake and pull back in safely. This the go, no go decision point.
If there is a line of cars, pause at critical junctures during the pass where there is a gap between cars. Reevaluate at this point. If things look good, move on to the next gap. If unsure, brake, signal and slide about half way back in until you are sure it is safe to continue. If it is not safe, pull fully back in.
The most important point is to be patient.

You passed more cars at one time than I've passed on two-lane roads in the daytime since I got my Z last July...by a factor of two. I haven't passed anyone at night on a two-lane road yet.
How's that being in a big hurry thing working out for ya?
