It's the insurgence of young drivers who get a great deal on a sports car and drive it far past its limits... usually. I'm only 19, but I have been to several classes and have a family history of performance oriented vehicles. This, coupled with the fact that I don't drive like an idiot, is my personal recipe for success. I've had the Z since I was 17, bought it with my own money that I work my @ss off for, and recently paid it off. I respect the car's limits and know exactly where they are, and what the car is and isn't capable of. I only say this because the young driver support is far too vague, but even then I consider myself the exception. A family friend bought their 16 year old son a 2008 enthusiast brand new off the showroom floor. He had it for a whopping 3 months, then he took a corner like an idiot, slid off the road, and flipped it. People, especially younger people, don't tend to know what the car can do, or where the limits are, causing risky maneuvers to be taken, and ultimately a thread like this a few times a month. I'm with JDM555 on this completely, driver mod FTW.

To add to this thread after last night- was switching lanes on 95 S while goin back home and almost got reared by a black 911 weaving through medium traffic doing probably 120-130 considering I was going 85. I noticed him about halfway through my lane change and quickly, but smoothly floated back into the lane I was merging from and the bastard just shot by me.

I'm all for skilled driving, but there's some **** you gotta know the time and place for.

I understand what you mean, I'm young too, but I drive real mature for my age. I'm sick of hearing stories like this. If people don't know how to drive with caution and some facking common sense, then they shouldn't be driving a sports car, or any car period. It's not just age, there are plenty of immature older guys who do stupid **** too, but yes, most of the time it is those stupid "thug-life", trying to show off and act hard idiot teens that crash their cars that the parents got for them. People just need to learn how to drive, ****.

There are no modern Zs with monstrous power. The last high powered Z was the 300zx TT, with about 400 hp in Stage 3 configuration, and those cars are disappearing slowly. The latest Nismo 350z is 350hp, and it is getting closer, but it still isn't "freight-train" scary.
