New 350z Castrol Commercial
Well, heck, the '49 Fords and the '55 Chevys were just sedans when they were new. I know people who owned them new, and they didn't think they were anything special. My wife's mother had a red '55 Chevy convertible, which she absolutely detested.
It's way too soon to tell if any present-day car will reach classic status. I wouldn't bet on the Z doing it, though. I say that because I think the supply of serviceable parts will probably run out before the status is achieved, and the few left will be Zs only in outward appearance. All the running gear will be jury-rigged from cars produced in larger quantities.

Why so negative??? I know there's plenty of 350Z fanboys here (what would you expect here). But, I think you're wrong. I got the Z, along with ten other reasons, for it's great design. Just to give you an idea of how good design lasts i.e. is iconic, consider the Z32. That was a great design also. When I first got my Z32 conv, I got into a conversation with a guy who loved the car. I said I thought it would be a classic someday. Guess what? His response was that he said what you said! BTW - the Z32 was featured in Automobile Mag's "THE 25 MOST BEAUTIFUL CARS EVER" article in the September 2006 issue. How's that for "classic". With all the 350Zs being wrecked, you keep yours intact and like new and I KNOW it'll be in the same class - classic and iconic just like most of the old Z's!

Z33 cannot, imo

I stand by my statement and it's not negative, though.
Well, time will prove me right or wrong later I suppose.
... the car in the shop does not seem to have window tint & the shot with the guy driving has no tint --the car on the road has a dark tint ...

... and the Z on the road shot has had it's NISSAN emblem removed from it's hood ...
What do they think; that they are giving free advertisement to Nissan... everyone knows that a 350Z is a Nissan. The more I watch it, the stranger the commercial seems.

I noticed ALL the inconsistencies the 1st time I saw it... Idk bout the debadging tho, lotsa people confuse the Z with Geo Metros
I saw a NOS energy drink ad today with a 350Z Roadster set up for drifting. Very impressive performance. You can see the video and some other fun stuff on their website at drinkNOS.com/stuff.do
