Problems with my rx8:
-no power(mazda claims 240, but anyone on mazda forums or anyone who has done much reasearch knows that is false, everyones stock dynos show we have 160-170 rwhp)
-General rotay issues - it uses more fuel on startup so you cannot shut it off to quickly or you could flood it, it literally consumes oil, terrible fuel economy, et cetera

But power is really the main problem for me, really a slow car.

What I like about the RX8:
Manual trasmission is really smooth, when I put the back end out it is really easy to control and correct, grips the road really tightly.

Before the RX8 I considered: s2k, WRX, 300zxtt, Supra tt, rx7 tt

In the 350z im definatly looking for a hardtop, 2003-2005 would best suit my price range. I hardly use the rear seats of my rx8 so not having them is no issue. Considering the 350 because it has alot more power, looks better, has a conventional engine(not a problematic 'clever' wankel), and because I dont do American cars.

Sounds to me as if you didn't do your research before you bought the RX8. Everyone knows that compared to the Z, the RX8 doesn't have as much torque at the low end, burns more gas, is designed to burn oil, and can be flooded if you start it, then stop it before it warms up.

OTOH, rotary's are fun to drive in the high rpm range, and the RX8 handles much better than the Z. Watching a well driven RX8 on an autocross course is just plain beautiful.

That being said, I went from twin turbo rotary to a Z and am happy with my choice.

If you go from 240 to 290 Horsepower (350Z) I think you will be happy with the additional horsepower.

Turn off your computer and go sit in some used ones at a dealer. I was set to buy a 911 until I actually sat in one and realized I couldn't get my legs under the steering wheel and couldn't stand the ergonomics. I wasted so much time on the Porsche forums only to find I hated the car. See if you like it first. I would've considered an RX8 if it wasn't a 4 door sedan.

Should you make me a sandwich w/ mayo or with mustard? That's what you should be asking yourself.

So, if i read this correctly, and im no head cashier at the walmart (no offense to anyone that is), you considered an RX7 and a Supra TT which are both upwards of 25k?

Define consider........... because with a budget focused on an 03-05 Z, you must have been0 DREAMING about those cars. BUT, im not hear to count your money.
