Should I buy a 350z

So, if i read this correctly, and im no head cashier at the walmart (no offense to anyone that is), you considered an RX7 and a Supra TT which are both upwards of 25k?
Define consider........... because with a budget focused on an 03-05 Z, you must have been0 DREAMING about those cars. BUT, im not hear to count your money.
DUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHH
. i recently bought my 06 GT mag black. besides the swirls I absolutly love this car. its elegant when you need it be, and more fun than i can handle in the street, at the track it is a different story. My z is completly stock other than simple cosmetic mods. i had the emblems painted, along with the door handles. i have no desiger to boost, or anything like that. I love this car, and i did a lot of research and test driving prior to buying it. I test drove an sti, rx8, etc., but i fell in love with the z. but i am not you, and thats why i recomend going to carmax, where you can test drive anything, and see what makes you smile. in the end thats what sport cars are for, to make YOU happy

I stand corrected. Thanks. Havent looked at RX's (absolutely no desire to own a rotary engine) in a long time. Synaptic3 has a sick RX-7 though.

This comparison has been done here and on Mazda boards many times, and you get very different opinions.
My comparison basis: My brother went from a 350 Z Enthusiast to a Mazda RX8. Of course he has opinions, and I have mine after driving his RX8 for short and long “test drives.” I have a 350Z Performance model. Here’s my take…
You will like these things with the Z:
You will miss these things from the Mazda RX8 (better with the RX8 than the Z):
In summary:
If you go with a Z, you will like the Z’s engine for its better acceleration and torque. You can be in just about any gear, step-down hard on the accelerator, and more forward fast. The RX8 requires precise gear selection with higher engine rpm’s, and even when you are where you want to be, the delay is painful. While the Z’s engine is very responsive, the RX8’s engine is “slow.”
I’m not attempting to start a new debate here, but only mentioning my experience with both cars. I mainly prefer the Z for its better engine and aftermarket upgrade options. The RX8 certainly has its advantages (comfort, finishing, and handling).

You will like these things with the Z:
- More attractive exterior styling (albeit that is debatable, but most consider the RX8 as ugly)
- Better economy (mpg, maintenance, and repair costs)
- Better acceleration
- Better engine torque (huge difference)
- Many aftermarket products for the Z and a great number of customizing options
You will miss these things from the Mazda RX8 (better with the RX8 than the Z):
- Better looking and finished interior
- Better and more comfortable driver and passenger seats
- Useable (even for medium sized adults) rear seats
- A much quieter interior (even at higher speeds)
- Much better stock sound system (H/U and speakers)
- More “nimble” handling

As some have already mentioned, just research it first. You'll come across various issues for different model years. Important thing is just to test drive it and see if you like it.
