Got my new Z today!!!
OH MY FREAKIN GOD! That was my first impression! From the second I sat in it, it felt like I've been driving it for years.
1000 times better than the test drive I took in June. Crayons said that having one is wayyyy better than just test driving one and I agree!
This is a great car! Even had the rpms over 4k twice, but not for long. Is this ok?
Once again, this car if f'n awesome
Cant wait till my 1200 miles are up. Have 80 miles on the speedo now......

Haahaha.. same thing I thought when I first got in. It looks like we got the exact same car too.
You won't notice anything screwy with the engine immediately if you damage it by not breaking it in. You may experience a loss of power (you wouldn't be able to notice it), but I think the real problem is 5-10 yrs down the line when you start having compression problems.
After 500miles I hit 5k rpm twice in second gear. I would definately make sure the engine is warmed up GOOD before you do anything like that, regardless of mileage.
Enjoy your Z!!!

Since getting a Z is now so normal... I usually don't post to these threads.
However, I really enjoy your enthusiasm.... after getting your Z.. and can feel what I felt ...
Congratulations... enjoy it for a long time.. mod the hell out of to your taste .. and be safe.

Dude, congrats!
I'm 2 months into my ownership now and not even at 1k miles yet...
It's easier for me though to not try to accelerate because there's nowhere in south FL you can accel to...just hit traffic again. Hang tough...it will be over soon enough

I don't have time to drive (I take the train to school), or sleep, or eat, or shower.....

Thanks everyone!
oh, and I also love the exhaust note. I'm up to 200 miles now. Only 1000 to go!
I want to get the Plenum, Headers, and maybe new exhaust. But that wont be for another year or 2........It took me 3 years to get bored with my 99 cougar b4 I put a new intake and borla exhaust on. That extra 100 horsepower in the Z really makes a difference. Although, it's really is no comparison to the cougar. No offense to my fellow former cougar owners out there!
Dont want to bore you all with more pix, so I'll only post 1 more:

Nice car. Glad it finally came in for you. I picked mine up on Sat. They were able to fix the dent so you couldn't tell it was even there if you didn't know it. Great weather to pick up a car in PA. Glad it was sunny and dry. Here is a pic of mine.

S2RT,
Sweet car. Congrats! (waited pretty long to say that to someone else, huh)
Yes, this weekend was awesome for breaking her in!
What do you think of it??? I think I'll have a smile plastered on my face for months!
Who else is waiting for their car? We should start a support group?
Bruce

the entire ride home from the dealer, all i kept saying to myself was "i cant believe this is my car. this is my car." and my dad who took me there, pulled up next and says "how do you like it?" and i reply of course with "its f**king amazing"
