Default My Z Broken Into :mad::mad:

Hey guys. My Z was broken into last night. They jacked up the A-pillar real good before just smashing the passenger window. Being as how it's Sunday, I can't really call around for quotes but I was wondering if anyone here might have a shot in the dark idea what a new window + a pillar (I guess with paint) + the rubber for the window seal should run.

'08 350Z Enthusiast

Thanks.

Pics or it didn't happen!!

Used glass is like $180
If you are talking about the exterior A-Pillar trim.. that is 300 @#%king American Dollars... more then a fender.

Labor for a body shop is normally 40-50 an hour.

If that is all that happened to your car, your looking at ~$1000. Call your insurance, report this to the police to get it on file.

Damn that sucks, at least they didn't steal it.

Time to invest in a pager alarm system.

I swear, these criminals are effin idiots. Upon closer inspection, they scratched up the trim piece at the base of the window, the door handle and the door as well. Yeah... GPS tracker and upgraded alarm system... It's happening.

Sorry to hear. When thieves broke my passenger window they left all sorts of scrapes from numerous failed attempts to break the glass before getting it to break.

What part of Houston are you in? Do you leave the car outside? Thieves are the worst.

Yes, it was outside at the time. (For barely an hour!) Went to the Washington area and instead of valet, parked it myself near a multitude of other nice cars. Won't be doing that again. It is just the A-Pillar trim piece that's been broken. No real structural damage to speak of thankfully. Nissan Unlimited?? I'm not familiar with that place. Is it local?

Do you have full coverage? If so, who cares how much it will cost.

If not... why not?

Definitely have full coverage. At first, it seemed like just the window and the trim piece, so I wondered if it might cost less than my deductible. All damages now considered, probably going to just go the insurance route.

I used to work for a national level auto glass company named Safelite, its best in the business as far as auto glass goes, I seriously wouldn't go anywhere else, www.safelite.com or call our 24/7 call center for quotes and information, I'm sure they can have a guy out to you in a couple days or less.

I dont get why they are idiots for scratching up your trim and window base door handle and door. They are criminals, thats what they do.
I would say its a good thing they are idiots in the sense that they weren't able to take your entire car!
Hope it gets fixed without too much cost and hassle to you. G/L

Magellan- Stay away from Club Eig8t!! LoL. I can only assume that you were over there since you said you were in the Washington Area and not too many Zs are over that way unless you live there. Sux to hear that bro, but like has been said numerous times: You pay your policy for a reason and that reason is to use it when needed. No sense in going all out of pocket when some piece of maggot sh*t did all the damage.

I say Courtesy Parts or Import Parts Pro in Spring, TX. Kyle at I.P.P is the coolest guy in the world to deal with and gives a 10% discount to forum members. just an FYI
