You should be bale to snag a 07 for under 18k if your patient. There is one listed in my are with 36k,enthusiast package for 16.9k. As far as carrying two loans that would depend on your credit and dept to income. You could also go for one a lil older and have some cash left over for mods to make it your own so to speak. Personally I would either go for a 04-05 or 07-08. Good luck in your search.

if you want 350z, get an 07-08. (no nut huger here) This does not apply to all Z's or Im stating all older ones are less than the newer. Statistically speaking: Newer year, usually lesser miles, most likely not whored out as earlier ones have exchanged hands/owners a few times. Less issues. Newer motor (not as many available mods as Older DE/revup) but not an issue. As far as prices. Youd have to check where you are located, the market there, condition of car, owners, mods, returned to stock or original in stock form etc. use your better judgment and be patient as stated above. people have gotten some good deals from what I hear.

Get an 07-08 you can get one for what you have saved but you could also find 04-05 with super low miles and buy that sometimes I wish I would have bought an older track model and saved money that way. Also depending on what you want to do to the car .FI for instance is cheaper on the older models and aftermarket is more readily available

$23k is plenty. Trade in the Hyundai and pay it off, then beat up a dealer on the price of the 07' or later Z.

Definitely, with the money you have available go with "07 and newer. This advice is coming from the owner of an '05.

Be smart and shop around, plenty of good deals to be had. Money/credit talks, not many these days have either.

Sounds like a steal to me. I got my 07 w/ 24k miles for 20k, but it was SO local/dealer that it was hard to pass up. Also in white which was my color of choice.

Heres another scenario guys.

You can get an 07 Z, nothing special, for around 18K, or snag an 03/04 for around 13k and have 4-5k for mods or even starting a turbo build.

If you have all this cash in the bank, why not pay off the Sonata. It doesn't really make much sense to be paying interest when you don't really have to.

This. The sonata is a nice car and definitely one you should keep around if you are able to. The Z will not be of any use to you in the bad weather, and the last thing you want to worry about is outstanding loans. If you are young, believe me, pay off whatever you can now so that you have real assets. If you can pay off the Sonata and have a good $15-16k still left, definitely look into picking up an 07-08 Z if that's what you want, they are being had for <$19k these days if you're patient enough and look hard enough. Good luck with whatever route you decide to go.
