141, we'll see if mine has it when it arrives this week or next. It's on it's way here from Naperville ?? VIA truck.

My car is number 11##, so the problem continues beyond the first 1000 cars.

Yeah, a mis-aligned fuel-filler door cover is a serious bug isn't it? I mean ****, we better get a class-action lawsuit together to get our cars fixed.

I don't think I can safely drive the Z with that fuel-filler door out of whack like that.

I agree. The wind turbulence created by the fuel-filler lid is making me lose downforce at over 400 mph. It is quite unsafe.

400 mph!!! I am only hitting 350 mph and then I feel a little floating going on.

My vin is number 361 and I have no problems with the fuel door. I is a touring 6MT Lemans Sunset.

I will admit that my gas cap seems very flimsy... however, it seems to be aligned correctly.

I'll be the first person to admit the flaws in this car. It doesn't mean that I don't like it though. Just having a little bit of fun with the responses.

Your advice is good advice and is quite valid, but your post kind of sounded like you were admonishing owners who bought early. We are all adults here and know the risks of buying a first-year car.

We admit there are defects. There are defects in any car. But no one is interested in your motherly advice:
"That is why you should never buy the first year of production." The people on this board obviously feel it is worth working through a few bugs to have the new hot car on the streets. Maybe you should wait two years and they will work out even more bugs... or three years!

Sure, the first year of production of any car will yield some "bugs" or defects, but that's why there's a warranty and a lemon law.

That was your advice - in case you forgot.
You tell the guys with problems that they shouldn't have bought the car. Way to help with fixing the problems.
Again, take your hypocritical motherly advice elsewhere.

You obviously lack a strong command of the english language. You DID say you should not buy the car as it is in the first production year. And I have never once, directly or indirectly said anything about keeping the gas cap the way it is. Of course you should take it in to get fixed... It is under warranty - why wouldn't you?
I posted in this thread originally to support those who chose to buy a Z this year rather than wait like you suggested. I have done that, so I am done posting here. Feel free to PM me if you feel like discussing this further.
