Front bag is programmed to deploy at a 30mph frontal hit. Don't know about the side and roll over bags.

From looking at the photos i'd say airbag deployment would have been 50/50. Not surprised they didn't blow. Probly no defect. And hey, saved ya the bag burns and ringing ears!

Well I recieved final word. Car is totalled! My frame looked like an accordian...Can't tell fomr the pics can you? Looked a lot worse in person.

Well I will find out what they want to offer me soon.

Unfortunatly I do not think I will be in a Z again. Either a 91 NSX that my friend may sell, or a 04 S2k.

However I will deffinitly stay on this forum and attend meets, I don;t like the s2k forum as much, and the nsx forum is to slow.. Not to mention this forum has a great bunch of people!

O.o

Diff. strokes for different folks.

Because I love how the s2k drives, and other then some power, the drivetrain has been beefed up so it will be a bit more reliable. I am a medium built guy, and the S2k just fits me perfectly, while I can not seem to find that great of a position in the Z.

I absoultly LOVE my Z, no complaints about it, but I am going to take this as a chance to own yet a second wonderful car.

Also, if my friend does sell his NSX I am deffinitly going for that over the S2k..Great car.

Jason, sorry to lose another one, but you're right, you could take this as a chance to own yet another great car. And you'll always be welcome here!

NSXs are awsome but the early models arent as good. Unless your friends NSX is modified and updated.
Go with the S2000 man. As a matter of fact get a 2003 with the 2.0L instead of 2.2L for 2004. The F20C is a better motor, dont be fooled by the extra couple of ft/lbs of torque in the F22C. Good luck.

I honestly don't care about the extra power...I want the car to be reliable. The F20C is not estimated to last very long..( If anyone thinks 100k + miles is long then well ok, I don't )

For 04 they beefed up the tranny, the diff, revised suspension so its not so twitchy at the limit, more power, and so on. All of that in itself is enough reason for me to get the 04. Not to mention I like the looks of the 04 better. I dont care that my redline will "only" be 8,200 rpm's if i get the s2k.

Anyways, I am looking forward to the NSX more then anything. But if not, The S2000 will be it, unless I change my mind, again..

BTW, about the early NSX's being "not as good", I do not agree.

Sure its got 20 less hp and a little slower, but it's still fast enough for me, and still does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds or less. It is lighter then the t-tops and a bit stiffer.

Regardless, it is more then enough for me.

Alllllso, it is a 1991 blk/blk NSX manual tranny, only 60k miles, in GREAT condition. The leather is wonderful, as is the exterior. It has 18 inch OZ superleggeras in the back and 17's in the front. Also has H&R springs matched with bilstein shocks. The car is also badgeless, not that it matters.

Edit : I forgot it has a ACT clutch as well, along with ALL other maintainence done, and timingbelt/waterpump just replaced, and upgraded AC.
