Default Weighed my 06 Base today

Specs are:

06 Base, stock everything except intake, no spare, no rear carpet, jack is still in, a 2-5 lb car cover in the rear, and about 3 other various small items not really worth mentioning.

The car weighed in at exactly 3300 lbs without me in it. According to most mags and internet sources the 06 bases weighed 3339. My car realistically is around that figure. So it is true that the 06's are heavier than the 03-05's and not around the same weight.

Now I paid $9 for the weigh. If someone could weight a base 03-05 and 07 that would be awesome to compare.

i've never thought about weighing my car before. 9 bucks doesn't sound too bad. where's the best place to go? a DMV station? weigh station?

99% of all truck stops have a weigh station. I went to a flying J here.

What the H*ll is up with this new trend where people want to remove their spare tire, but dont consider taking the jack out. Can some one please tell me what they plan on doing with the jack? ( I can think of a lot of uses for an off road rig when I was in that Scene)

Well to start. My spare is in NJ. I left it out of the car after I went to the track. Just didn't ever put it in. Secondly, I was in Japan for 2 years before my parents drove my Z from NJ to SD so I wasn't going to ask them to put it in. Lastly, 2 nights ago I had to remove my tires and just left the jack in there. It's not a trend just a coincidence.

the weights published by Nissan since the car was released are dead on accurate - they have to be because those figures are part of the DOT process every manufacturer must go through before the car is legal for sale here

03' Performance (already had some lighter goodies when I bought it but had full interior, likely about 30-40# lighter than when it was stock):

After some work:

A little more:

and a bit more:

I hit 2900# at one point but can't find that pic. The last one is after the Kirk 4pt roll bar was added in. Car is fully street legal if I put the cats back on.

I usually go to the quarry down the road from my house. The weigh station is right at the entrance to the driveway ungated, so its easy to jump on and off. Never did it to the Z though.

I understand that. It's just that some people don't think that the 06+ Z's were 150+ lbs heavier than the 03-05 so I needed my own proof.

Hey scotts, what did you remove to hit the 3100 lb mark? That's my goal. I'm trying to keep the car comfortable, functional, and enjoyable at the sametime. I'd hate to be rolling around in a beer can again. Man that **** was dumb.
