Default my odd concept

I was just thinking bout this with a friend.

Well, I was thinkin about hookin up an front mount intercooler to a cold air intake. Then put the filter on the side where the boost is supposed to be. Then hookin up the NX N-tercooler to it. That way, the air goin into the engine would be unnaturally cold. Is this stupid or do U think it'll work. I'm thinkin that the intercooler was meant for air to be pushed through and will slow down the air flow. But I mean, this would be a good way to have extremely cold air go into the motor. So basically, it's a non-turbo intercooler.

feedback please.

The money spent on that setup would be MUCH better spent on something that will actually give you some gains. The reason an intercooler works so well on a forced induction car is that it cools the air that gets heated during compression by the turbo or supercharger. Putting an intercooler on an NA car would pretty much negate any gains from the cooler intake by restricting the intake flow.

Besides all the technical stuff, it's ricey.

Good luck and keep the rubber side down.

I understand that, but I'm basically trying to make a safe Nitrous set-up. So I'm guessing everyone thinks it's stupid.

Back to the drawing board.........

A standard nitrous setup can be very safe if it's done right. Domestic guys do it all the time.
