are our cars going to be worth anything in 20 years?
They were making this kind of prediction at the time of the 1973 Oil Crisis. Lots of experts were claiming there would be no oil by 2000. They were wrong then and I suspect you are still wrong today. It is amazing how much new oil is found every year.
I was sort of being sarcastic, but the way the world is moving towards "greener" transportation, you never know... we do know, oil based products will be around until they can't make their billions off of it.
As far as being antiques... people want to enjoy their antique, in this case a car, by driving it... not just having it sit. If a car cannot be drive, the value would greatly depreciate. We wouldn't want an antique clock that just sat there and said 2:13 all the time, would we?

Z's are meant to be driven, just like most sports cars. Memories are made with myself driving the car. IMO. Now if I had something really rare and produced in low numbers, I might look at it as a real investment, for example a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO. But I would still put a little mileage on it every year when the weather is perfect.
Your condition will dictate your thrill for life in 20 years.
Not necessarily "alive or not".
However.
I hope I'm able to be able to DRIVE when I'm 77. Much less argue with us a-holes.
Kudos to you sir.
And to top it all off, if I still know u jerks when we are 77.....I'll drive off a cliff.
So it is kind of like that clock that is stuck on 2:13???? May I ask why you have not driven your Z all year? Just curious.
Who cares what KBB or anything similar says. I'm sure if you take care of your Z and if by chance you still own it in 20 years, there'll be some young upstart who would probably buy it for more than it's worth. Probably.
Hey! I am still a Honda Civic Driver!!!
Haha, joking aside, my 2002 Honda Civic EX (BONE STOCK except Radio) is an amazing DD
However, we can already see the trend of Ex-Cheapo car drivers migrating over to the 350z and tacking on cheap parts. These parts are not the replicas that we see (i.e. Varrstoen, X02 Exhaust, etc...) but rather even worse parts that do not even fit the car!
In Columbus Ohio, I do see a handful of 350z's, most of the bone stock, however I have only seen a few modified 350z's and man can I say they were RICE!
I actually hope that these people continue to Rice out their cars to the point that they stop caring about them (i.e. like cheap Honda Civic Parts), so that my 350z looks better and also so their 350z just rots away!

in 20 years this car is gonna be a monster!
I know Z06 eating Honda's
I could only imagine some one in 20 year buying a well kept Z car for 6 grand...
buying a turbo kit for 2 grand
restoring a Z for peanuts...
makes me happy about the future if we get pass 2012!
of course we gonna have riced/rednecked/pimp'd out/20" or better z cars riding around but...it's bound to happen
for the two seconds you see nice Z car it's gone, and with the quickness....
