or just buy a Z06 for 10k less... and be plenty fast with a big *** V8 to haul you down the ever so important quarter mile.

Wow! I was sure this was going to be some sort of hoax, but the guy sounds serious.

All I can say is why not? It's his car. As long as he's got the money and is willing to stick with the project. There have certainly been more frivolous Z projects. Maybe they didn't cost 30 k, but what the hey! Who knows where this may lead.

Keep us updated with lots of pics please!

Once again, Wow!

this is what i give to IMAZLPR :

BS

all wheel drive and a stillen supercharger won't put you close to 11 seconds. no way. it won't even put a 500 pounds lighter z close to 11 seconds....and AWD isn't going to do that to your car!

that's what i like about this forum. even when we're calling out bs, we're still nice about it. well, at least nicer than other forums.

p.s. can someone raise the BS flag for me?

If it's true it should be no problem to get it in a Mag. to prove it.

I didn't think that there was enough room for the RB26 to fit in there, lengthwise, that is.

Couldnt you just modify the underlyings of an fx35. Same engine just subframe different. Dude if this what you want Ill let you have on of those from crossmember, trans, and front end for a brand new one cheaper than that. I mean hell of a lot cheaper.

Isn't the FX35 already AWD? Heck, get an FX45, at least you'd have a V8. Then, if the kid wants to put a turbo, nitrous, or anything else that his parents say is OK, then he'll really have something.
