65 looks do-able there, maybe not safely, but do-able. My guess is he started fishtailing and over-corrected, taking the car across the lanes of traffic. Just another reminder to always keep control.

RIP and my condolences. I hope the passenger recovers.

happens when you drive like an idiot. I feel bad for the passenger who is now screwed for life because the driver couldn't take it to the track

As i was reading the article, i was thinking this guy must be a maniac. But when i read "He was transported to Stanford Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 12:14 a.m," i felt sad for him.
He could've avoided that accident if his Z was twin turboed..
