You'll be looking at an engine rebuild pretty soon if you care about the welfare of your passengers at all, and while you're in there you might as well just do a LS2 swap. I'd twin turbo it to help with high elevation performance too.

You won't feel out of place. My wife works in a restaurant so she brings people your age over. I'm usually the oldest there until people from my work show up.
