I am going to have to respectfully disagree with the OP. I have 21 right now and although my G wasn't technically my first car, its the first one I bought. The first car I drove was my parents 1999 Chevy Suburban. Then my dad's 1997 Camry, but I worked 2 jobs through HS, and 3 every summer. Saved almost every dime and when I got done with my first year of college purchased my 06 G coupe! I worked my butt off to be able to afford this car and am still working my butt off to mod it!!!

 

define "afford".

 

You were able to "save every dime" because all of your basic living expenses, including it would seem college tuition, was paid by someone else. I have no problem with that but those of us who pay for about everything in our lives just aren't all that impressed with those who merely buy their own car and then think there is something impressive about that. But hey, you are not 17 so this isn't your thread anyway, lol.

strongly agree ! Why TF would you want to buy something that you cannot afford. I know a lot of "cool" guys who bought huge houses, then they go on furnish the house like crazzzzzy, then go on to buy super expensive cars, then spend like crazy on a super lifestyle...
I mean WTF !!! no wonder the economy is so f***ed up !

I know its "their" money and we don't have any business discussing them...but these guys are losers in reality.

Mostly such a**holes do it to show off...they dont realize that they are living for others and not themselves.

Buy things that you freaking NEED, & not just because Bestbuy or BMW or anyone else is giving u a low interest financing on something fancy &&& not because your "cool" neighbor/coworker/friend owns stuff that you don't.
