This pertains to the "17 year olds getting Z's" debate...
Gr8 to see my favorite thread back from the dead. Now we just need some idiot to insist on spouting his lies so that I can be entertained for a few days before I figure out a way to get him banned. There's got to be a taker amongst all of these children driving Z's now.
If this is true and someone is 16, then why even state your age. That's where these kid ***** up. They admit their age and come up with these far fetched stories and expect to be believed. A Z is still to expensive for a 16 or 17 year old kid to afford with no help.
18 years old. New owner of a clean 2003 Redline Touring 6MT Z. Bought the car at 60K miles, with one owner and it was an older guy who babied the car. Picked it up for 12K.
Thanks for the welcome guys!

Quasimofo, did you seriously come in this thread showing your a$$ and then slightly alter your name to Q **** and think I wouldn't notice. Kind of funny that both of have just recently talked about wanting a black Z and Quasi is the only other visitor to Q's page other than me. Not sure but I think thats against TOU
I think the bitterness stems from the fact that Z owners paid good coin for their cars when they came out. Now kids can pick up a used one for a fraction of the price. The exclusive feeling is ruined by kids who are getting these cars, modding them with cheap parts and crashing them into trees and ditches all while living at home with the parents. The kids on this forum will understand this as the get older. For now, do your demographic justice, and don't look like gangster tools driving the Z. Remember the car has heritage, not some srt4.
The thing is, most of us bought our Z because it was a really fun and attractive car. We didn't buy it as a status symbol to say, "Look how awesome we are that we can drop $40k on a car!". If I wanted to show off my money, I would have bought a Merc or a Bimmer or something with more brand power than a Nissan.
My problem is with kids coming on here pretending that they have 10-15k at 16. No 16 year old has that kind of money. Just be honest, admit that you got a loan co-signed by your parents or that your parents just outright gave you the money because they're loaded and they think you do a swell job taking out the trash. All we want is a little honesty and humility from the youths and it is incredibly rare.
I don't care if you want to take your parents' money, buy a Z, then dress it up like an 80's retro party vomited all over it. Just don't talk to me like I'm an idiot who doesn't know how the world works.
I'm almost 20, and damn its crazy some of the looks I get from some of you not as young Z drivers. I most of the time get dueces and thumbs up, but there is 2% of those sour guys who really just don't like me driving the car haha. I'm paying my baby off monthly and I actually like it like that, being my age my credit is pretty much a blank slate, this should start me on the right path to pretty good credit
Need I say more??? This thread reminds me of this crazy bish... No allowance for this teen.

I'd hate to make generalizations but its the older crowd who end up distastefully modding their Z's. Sorry but your two tone Z with carbon fiber hood, pep boy rims and chrome badges isn't impressing anyone.

C'mon Dave, ban both accounts unless he provides us with a few days of entertainment
Seriously? You definitely deserve to banned if you are truly this ignorant. I can think of a few exceptions, like the guy with the blue Z with the supercharged logo and the idiot with the flames painted all over his Z, but if you really think that the majority of ricer are old you are sadly mistaken.
How's your dad's mad ball handling skills coming along. Did he end up giving you the 18k to buy you a Z with
My thoughts exactly
Brah we dont have to justify owing the car to anyone. Just enjoy it.

I feel obligated to explain how I got the car before people make assumptions
