This pertains to the "17 year olds getting Z's" debate...
This thread doens't really apply as much any more. My Z was $40k new. If some 17 year old had that kind of scratch to throw around on a car, it would be worth talking about.
As it is, most people seem to be picking up early models with high mileage for the mid teens. Not that impressive any more.

Kiddies... Just stop hitting the trees. They don't jump in front of cars. Run into a ditch or something.
I saw a girl that could have been no older than 17 in front of me at an A&W a while back in a Mark IV turbo Supra. Had the highschool lacrosse sticker on the back window and her name and jersey number. I died a little bit on the inside that day.
Just sayin'
Your bump was meaningless, so my sarcastic post was to poke fun of your trolling. This post is also sarcastic in nature, and in response to your smart*** response. Keep trolling.

8.) MEANINGLESS POSTSDo not post any meaningless, roll call posts, or any posts that is a waste of server resources and bandwidth. They are not allowed and will result in your post count being set to zero and the possibility your account being banned. Select forums (i.e. Anything Goes) and select threads may be alloted for "post whoring," but the posts from such threads will (and the threads themselves may) be purged from time to time.

Typically common sense works. For instance someone may want to bump a thread where they are selling a part, and the post has fallen off the first page. Another time to bump a thread would be if you had a question that wasn't answered; you may also want to explain your problem differently since the original post did not receive an answer.

You getting all "matter of fact" on me is off topic.
So...lets stay on topic
I don't know how to make this point more clear than to just say it outright: Every time you say 'Paid for it myself' or 'Paid with my own money' and especially 'I own a business' you are making yourself a target.
If you say you paid for it yourself, we all know that you didn't. If you say it was your own money, we all know it was everything you had plus a bank loan and you are now car poor. If you say you own a business, we all know you have a sweet lawnmower.

I think the bitterness stems from the fact that Z owners paid good coin for their cars when they came out. Now kids can pick up a used one for a fraction of the price. The exclusive feeling is ruined by kids who are getting these cars, modding them with cheap parts and crashing them into trees and ditches all while living at home with the parents. The kids on this forum will understand this as the get older. For now, do your demographic justice, and don't look like gangster tools driving the Z. Remember the car has heritage, not some srt4.
