I miss my 72 mach 1 bad as it had the closed chambered heads with the screw in rocker studs which was almost the same motor as the Boss 351.....damn memory's ....oh and by the way it was totaled by one of the ugliest cars of all time...an AMC Pacer.

Hell, my dad's first car was a '67 Mustang fastback. He misses it every once in a while, but he enjoys comfort now.

I know... It was just alot more work then I wanted to do ( And more than I knew how to do when I sold it. ) But when I'm done with these and get some money I might buy it back. One of my dad's real good friends bought it and said if I want it back he'll sell it because he's restoring another old mustang right now... I'm not sure of the year and what not.

His other thread says daddy wanted to buy him a Mustang
OK, now I'm confused. I thought you said your dad wanted you to get the mustang, but now you say you already had a mustang and sold it?

Honestly, it sounds to me like his dad wanted him to buy an American car because he is big into domestic stuff. Hence, I think his dad owned the fastback (if anyone did) and couldn't afford to restore it so he had to sell it.

I'm not sensing the truth in all of the statements being made here.

Sound like you're an old man or something.

You know back in the day... I had to get out of the car to go get cash from the atm. Instead now these kids just drive right up, lean out the window. Life's just getting easier and easier for them. They don't know what rough is

well I didn't get my first car till I was 17, but I wasn't given anything. here's my story...

1. 88 ford escort lx: paid 500 bucks for it by working at burger king.
2. 03 s10 pickup: didn't get till I joined the army in 07, again bought myself after basic and AIT from saving up.
3. older model dodge dakota pickup, someone had it for sale for 800 bucks so I jumped on it, it was set up to be a drag truck, but broke down after a few months. turned into a never ending money pit so I got rid of it. also only got 8mpg.
4. 03 eclipse rs: loved it! drove it for about a year and someone hit me and totaled it.
5. 98 grand prix: bought it at some car lot that looked a bit suspicious but I needed a good cheap car and got it. it broke down 2 days later and I returned for a full return thanks to the lemon law.
6. 04 mazda rx-8: fun little car, drove it for a while and it started having engine trouble. finally it had a engine compression issue that mazda said would cost 7k to fix so I had to get rid of it.
7. 07 nissan pathfinder: still have it, about to trade it in along with my ninja 650r for an 06 nissan 350z enthusiast tomorrow at 9am.
8. 06 nissan 350: bought today (august 12, 2011) by trading in my pathfinder and ninja 650r.

I didn't bother with the motorcycles I've owned but in a nutshell I had a ninja 250r, and later traded it in with some boot for my ninja 650r (no longer have)

Do you really think that one must be rich to drive a 350Z? So if you are working two jobs, why would your grandparents have to pay 1500 for a new transmission?
