I'm 21, had 5 cars so far.

1. 78 Chevy Camaro (restored)
2. 93 Nissan 240SX - bought it for the gas mileage, 26 is better than 10
3. 07 Ford Mustang - great shape, but couldn't pass up the deal on the 350z
4. 05 350z Enthusiast - Weekend car - too damn fast, but fun as hell
5. 97 Chevy S10 - Daily Driver - bought last week, treated me well so far

im 20 and have had two cars
mazda 6 03 when i was 19
350z 05 now that im 20
i paid both my cars off in cash thanks to the military and ive been driving since i was 16. its not the age as it is the driver. yes i would agree at a younger age i do love to drive fast. i always drove my mazda like i was in a race and ill do my z the same, but ive never come close to being in a wreck and i try not to take it to any extremes with traffic around. now for the people that had mom and dad buy them everything i feel like they wouldnt respect it and be as careful with it because it wasnt their money and they didnt have to work for it. good grades/behavior dont count.

Here's my progression of cars to get to this point, concluding with the 350Z I purchased 3 weeks ago.

1. 1985 Mercury Topaz. Bought when I was 17, died due to a comprehensive electronics failure when I was 21. Thankfully, 3 weeks earlier, I had purchased:
2. 1991 Ford Probe GT. Started as a daily driver, and I did a season's worth of HPDE events with it before I decided brakes were good. I then bought a track car at age 23 (3). The Probe got totaled in an accident when I was 24 when someone who was stopped at a stop sign decided to go when I was in front of them, 100% their fault. This was replaced by (4)
3. 1985 Porsche 944. This was my track car until I was 27, and I owned it until I was 28. I got sick of Porsche parts pricing, and more annoyed that I went through 3 engines. I sold it with a blown engine. This got replaced by (5), but not before purchasing (7).
4. 1987 Porsche 944 #1. This was my daily driven car until I was 26, and got traded in on (6) while still functional
5. 1999 Mazda Miata. This was my track car for 10 years, with a whole bunch of track time and a trip to the 2005 SCCA Runoffs in SSB. It had its issues, but ultimately the reason I sold it a few weekd ago at age 37 is because I got to a point where I just wasn't learning anything by driving it any more, and I wanted to go faster. This got replaced by (10).
6. 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS Coupe. Bought at age 26. Was a great daily driver, traded in on (8).
7. 1987 Porsche 944 #2. Bought wrecked to replace the drivetrain in (3). It has a light hit in the front, and needs some time on the frame machine, but runs and drives, and only has 82,000 miles on it, and I haven't had the heart to sell it or the time to fix it.
8. 2004 Subaru STi. The only new car I've ever bought, purchased when I was 28. It's a very early production car, and is still my current daily drive, and I don't see anything better to replace it with coming along any time soon.
9. 2006 Ford E350 van. Purchased when I was 34, bought as a tow vehicle when I knew I wouldn't have access to my dad's truck for too much longer. I'll have this for a while, it only has 30,000 miles on it.
10. 2003 Nissan 350Z. Purchased at age 37, this is a track only car, originally built in 2005 to race in Grand-Am Cup, but never raced due to the primary car not being wrecked, and no funding stepping up for this car before it became obsolete as a pro car. This is being built as an SCCA STO car (basically, do whatever I want), and it should eventually be 2-3 sec/lap faster than bkleeman's current SCCA T2 track records in the Northeast that he set in 350Z's. If all goes according to plan, I'll be running it for the first time at NHMS in mid-October.

1. 2007 BMW 328i - First car was a 3-year lease that I made all of the payments for. Very lucky to have my parents pay for the insurance. However, i paid for all of the gas and tickets, and learned several good lessons
2. 2006 Nissan 350z Enthusiast - Paying all car payments, new warranty, and insurance this time. Made some good money doing financial industry internships during school, so a good chunk is going into this guy.
