This pertains to the "17 year olds getting Z's" debate...
The funny thing is, all of you adults dont realize that us teenagers are capable of buying our own cars. When i was 16 i bought my first car (96 maxima) with my own money. I am 18 now and bought an 03 350z in April. Neither of my parents payed a penny for it. You just have to realize that not all teenagers are spoiled brats and some actually have a work ethic and earn what they have...

I think if a 17 year old can get his/her hands on a fine sports car like our Z then they should go for it. Thanks to my brother, my very first car was 1967 Firebird 400. I was 16 and I worked very hard for it and appreciated the car. I had it worked, too. I never wrecked and have owned all sorts of sports cars ever since, Nissan Z's being my favorite. Not all 17 year-old's are unworthy, I've seen some grown men that should be driving nothing more powerful than a first model Prius.
JDZ and Rai, I am very sorry to hear about your sisters.
JDZ and Rai, I am very sorry to hear about your sisters.
Its also not about us trying to rag on you for working to get your cars, mainly what we are trying to say is be careful, when i was 17 i had a pickup truck, i learned to drive on that for 5 years before i bought my z and i can handle this car better than most older people than me, the reason is because I took my time to gain experience driving over time. The only thing we are trying to do is forewarn because from experience a 17 year old who thinks he is mature, isnt really mature and will wrap his *** around a tree trying to do some **** he saw on mtv, im 23 now and safe to say im glad I waited for this car. My dad would not have let me buy a z at 17 even though I could afford one because he knew what dangers it could bring. I had two friends die because they were racing one was in his brand new z and the other was in his dads beamer, they both crashed doing 122 on the street. my point is take what we are saying as advice and not scolding because we are trying to protect you, at least some of us are.
