I had my Z for about a year in 2003 and my G coupe for a little over a year. It's ok. I drive a POS now.

I didn't have my own car until I was 20. Had 2 cars, then got my 350Z in 2003. Got out of the military in 03, started college, worked full time while in school full time (to pay for rent, car, insurance, utilities, loans, credit cards... because mom and dad didn't give me $.01), eventually had to get rid of the Z until I graduated, got a full time job making enough money where I could afford one again. It feels GREAT to have worked my azz off and purchased something substantial with my OWN money.

I at kids that have **** spoon fed to them. I am sure it feels great to look someone in the eye and say "yeah, mom and daddy bought me my new car". But what can you do, you know? Complaining about them won't change a thing. As soon as they log off, they go drive their parent's car around and act like the shiz.

 

I didnt do well at all in school, dont get me wrong I have the utmost respect for people that have educations on a higher level

Words of advice (from experience, a couple pages back on this thread), don't even try to redeem or prove yourself to these guys because even if your money for the car came from you curing cancer they'll still hate. They'll probably come to the conclusion that you "tried to make them jealous", that's what I was prosecuted for. So ignore them and go back and read this thread from my first post and laugh away at how ridiculous some of the members are

early model Zs have become very affordable, if a kid 18-20 has been saving up and has got a decent downpayment + he/she gets a loan, they can do it, anyone can. BUT ONCE AGAIN, they're most probably also living at home + under their dad's policy etc etc etc.

I think that if the kid deserves it why not when i was 17 my bro gave me a 97 trans am, because of my good grades and cuz i got into colege..... i loved that car..... and now thanks to him giving me that push to be better i was able to get a good job and get the car i wanted!!!! 350z 2004
