Default Stuck between a rock and a hard place - need help!

My situation:

I had intentions of getting a 370 so I've been trying to sell my 350, I became impatient and put it on Ebay. Well, now it's about to sell and am having second thoughts....

Problem is, I know my 350 well and love it but I drive so much(long commute for work) and have been raking up the miles (currently 100K) and I know what that means to the resale of it. So my thoughts were, sell it while I could still get decent money for it, put that down on a 370 and go from there. Then I started thinking about how my job isn't doing that great and it may be wiser not to get involved in a higher car payment.
I also thought, if I get the 370, it wouldn't be long till I had a a lot of miles on that and I'd be back in the same boat. Need a beater but just can't afford that now...and not sure when I will.

So I guess my question is, what if I kept my Z and sold it later on in about a year...it'll then prob have about 120K on it. I just can't imagine getting much for it seeing what KBB and NADA says their worth.

Is it a smarter move to keep it or sell it now?

I look around and know there really isn't anything comparable to buy that looks and drives like my current Z. Hate to sell it and get something boring like an Altima or Honda etc...just stuck!

Sorry, had to vent and try to get my point across cause my Z's auction on Ebay closes TODAY!!!

i think if there is a bid on it, you are obligated to sell it no matter what...its a contract you clicked the box to agree before you posted it...I may be wrong though

you can end the listing early and cancel all bids.

Good Luck with your Decision.

Straight from that link:

Before ending a listing:

Make sure than you have a valid reason for ending the listing.

Check that you meet the requirements for ending the listing. If there are 12 hours or less before the end of the listing, restrictions apply.

i believe if it is below your set value you do not have to sell.

And to wake up and become smart is what counts. If you think that the future will become rainy days then stay with what you have and can afford for now. No real sense in getting a 370 when the 380's coming out soon! LOL

Yea, good call! I was just worried about being stuck with my Z with high miles and having a hard time selling it later.

I found a 3 series BMW VERY clean with 60k miles on it for $10500. I was thinking about paying cash for that with after selling my Z. Keeping that for my daily driver and then looking into another Z later. I would just keep the BMW as my daily driver then.

This is what i'm juggling...getting what I can for my Z now, getting something paid in full to replace it and then get another Z down the road. Or just keep my car and try to sell it with higher mileage later.

Y sell the Z? U seem attached to he car? Y sell something u like. If u maintain that car and keep good care of it, it will last a long time upwards of 200,000 miles. Start putting 20% of ur check into savingings. In a year or 2 u could have a down payment on ur 370. Or buy. Beater and save the Z. Just my .02

Keep your Z, drive it, buy another car later. Then your Z can be your beater, very simple.

You choose wisely. Your 350Z will depreciate a hell of a lot less (thousands) than a 370Z (tens of thousands) in the next 3-5 years and it only takes a few months of car payments to offset needed repairs. Great looking Z BTW!

Thanks guys, appreciate it!
Your right NismoZ_840, plus, I can finally enjoy not having a car payment every month...for the first time in a long time!

You can also put your car payment into savings for your next car , or use it for investing since your not used to having the money.

3.5 years so far without a car payment has been great.

Exactly what I plan to do, actually a little of both!
