dammn! thats a clean azz 100K mile Z.........

pfff........the Z taken care of can last in excess of 200,000 miles.........

Fun tidbit:
When the Nissan Engineers were set out to design the VQ........the design requirement was that it must have a operation life to last "in excess of 200,000 miles"

^ ya also, besides that..........there are are tons of dead Z's in the junk yard....its to the point where 350z engines are sitting side by side on racks already pulled.....miles noted, etc for cheap.........been quoted 500 on numerous different times for a complete engine, harness, ecu, etc...

I have a track only 350z......I'm in the process of buying another engine to mount on a stand so it can taunt me to build it up in some way......

I have completely forgotten about the junk yards! I actually enjoy hitting them up and trying to find something sweet. I've gotten my hands on all kinds of great deals there before. Honestly, I'd love to keep my car for a long time and start a collection of sports cars. When the motor goes, grab another like you said and build it!

lol, lowering it? I looked into that and was planning on doing so once I had a daily driver. I drive quite a bit on rough roads...already bent a couple rims
BTW, what's a decent set up run?

How do you like them, is it much rougher of a ride lowered?

I'd like to do that and throw some turbo's on my Z, one reason why I wanted something with lower miles....

To do that properly you need at least a mildly built motor, that means you would have a fresh motor to start with.

I know, I just have a hard time replacing a motor that runs great. Would it make sense to F1 my current motor and replace that if and when it goes? Or is that just wasting money in the long run of things?

truth be told i love the Z lowered. This is the 1st car that i have owned that i have lowered. Everyone who rides in mine with the pss9's compare to there setups and always say it is a better smoother ride and feel.

I have mine set to the softest setting though. Only downfall is like you said. You just have to keep an eye on where you drive. I do however notice that when i kick her down and start to drive hard you can deff feel that they go track mode instantly. You get a stiffer quicker response when whipping it.

here is the pix of them.
