yeah, the new 5.0 is amazing and a very well balanced car too...
kenne bell all the way though imo as far as supercharging one..they have a 2.6L and a mammoth 2.8L kit that are nasty nasty....
Ill prolly keep it in the early spring and run it a few times at the track and put it up for sale and see what happens..really want to get into a gt500 and start going for big power but also be good and streetable

The 2010 GT500's are all aluminum heads/block and Ford went the extra length to make the suspension work very well. It's lighter than the 2009's too which is a plus. I looked at a new one for a while but I'm just going to keep the Z and NOT boost it.. which sucks but the car isn't all that street drivable now in its current state, let alone when I have my new set up. Congrats again sir... Sorry for the thread Jack Op.

i think i'm talking about this "a 3.7-liter V6 with 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, nearly matching the 2010 GT's V8 output of 315 horsepower. In addition to adding 95 horsepower and 40 lb-ft of torque over the previous V6, the latest V6 Mustang also boasts class-leading fuel economy of 31 mpg on the highway with a six-speed automatic."
3.7 liter stang. So is this faster than 350z with plenum spacer?

2011 Mustang 5.0:
It's a hell of a lot faster than any factory Z... ever made. Not to mention its N/A.

The 350z is not a drag car, it is an all-around sports car. The Mustang is a "Pony car". They are different categories of vehicle, each with a specialty.

The Mustang is fast in a straight line, it is a drag car. Ford builds them to be fast in a straight line. Big engine, live-axle suspension, etc. There are apologists who say that it can handle with modifications, but having now driven one, I can tell you the track handling is miserable compared to the 350z.

take it u have not driven a 2011 or do not know what u are talking about..the 2011 is a great well balanced handling car..It is compared with the E92 M3 on the track in many mags...it will hold its own for damn sure on any kind of track it is put on...Yes the older stangs are not the greatest handling and more of a straight line car, Ford really stepped it up with the 2011's...
As far as the v6, the 2011 is the twin turbo v6 and is very comparable with a HR Z and is faster than a DE Z..the 2010 v6 is still n/a and a dog

From seeing it first hand and having shared a track with a 2011 5.0 .... Ford put A LOT more into this Mustang that previous models. It is not as rigid as a track worthy 350Z, but is handles quite nicely. Tylerxfire has it right on the money. Ford steped up it's game this time around.
