He mentioned that the camera distorted the color quite a bit. They look nothing like that in person.

The carbon cloth seats are not a solid color, but have a pattern with little checks or something in the black. This comes out as reddish in some photos. To your eye, it doesn't look that way.

I think Vandy took a can of Krylon in "Zurple" and resprayed his seats.
